Good Times banned. Was told to payback by a mod first [Banned by Govind]

http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1232859 Was the thread against me.

    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1232699 Thread against him.

So, here's what went down. I'll try to cover as much as possible without leaving any gaps in the storyline. To start off, I'll say that yes, I lured wolfdog. The video makes that part blatantly obvious. So, I'll start with giving my side of the story first. This is pretty much the same thing I told to a mod in a PM. I forget his name. It had the numbers 97 in it.

Yes, I lured Wolfdog. I honestly didn't think it to be something worth a ban, but okay. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to ban someone for scamming just because they lured someone from Sythe. It makes it give the message that it's okay to scam someone as long as they're not from Sythe. As far as ddos'ing him, that's completely retarded. During the video he posted, he tabs over to his bots shortly after disconnecting to find that they're still running. You can hardly say that they just reconnected if his main account didn't reconnect as well.

And when it comes to gregislacrosse or whatever, that was an issue a long time ago. Way back when he was selling his RWT method (The one that used 3 dose pots and 4 dose pots). He told me he was selling the guide to ONE person to keep it from being leaked and was charging a high dollar amount to make sure of that. After some thought, I decided to pay the 125 dollar fee. I leave him a vouch, but he deletes it, saying he doesn't want anyone to bother me since he only sold it to me.

Next thing I know, he's still selling the guide and someone else shows up saying that it was his guide. He told everyone he had submitted the guide to the verification team and greg sold it instead. So, he starts selling the guide for 15$. Greg ignores any attempts at me talking to him. I sent a PM to FireZ about it. He said he'd get back to me. It never happened. I continued trying to get into contact with Greg and was ignored some more. So, I took matters into my own hands and just took my money back. No, I wasn't trying to scam him. I told him several times to refund half of what I paid him and we'd call it even. Ignored. So, yes, I took my money back from a scammer and a liar.

I sent a message to the mod who was browsing the report a scammer section at the time. I told him that yes, I lured Wolfdog and that the ddosing part was complete bullshit. His response was "That's sad. Pay him back". No problem. I'll pay him back. So, I waited and waited for him to get back on Skype. He never did. I'm assuming he didn't like the answer he got from the mod, so he went to an admin friend instead. Of course, without even bothering to get my side of the story, the admin immediately bans me.

So, why did all of this happen? After luring Wolfdog, he complimented me, saying it was a well done lure. I invited him back into my skype call and told him if he was genuinely interested, I'd actually lure with him. Of course, he was interested. We kept each other added and talked for a few days. He told me and my partner how big of a hotshot he was on Sythe and how he knew all these admins and mods and about how he made so many bills training peoples' dungeoneering. We sort of snickered at him thinking he was as important as he thought he was, but all was good. Each to his own.

A few days later, he send me a shortened link.

    [9/15/2011 2:30:38 PM] Stewy...: http://qr.net/e4m9 - down for you?

Of course, I immediately think, "This guy's trying to phish me". And WHO WOULDN'T? Some guy you've been talking to for a few days on Skype suddenly attempts to send you a virus. It's happened to me before. I tell him I'm not clicking on a link that looks like that. He goes on to tell me that he thinks his ISP blocks link shorteners and that it's just the RuneScape page shortened. The shit looked shady. Incredibly shady. I think anyone who has any common sense at all would think that someone was trying to phish them or send them a RAT.

I even TELL HIM that if it's a virus, I'll be doing a scammer report. He tells me to go ahead. So, later on, that website turns up a "Checking for malicious content" message, I inform him that I'd be doing a scammer report. He STILL remains quiet. I post a scammer report. The mod says he'll check back on it to make sure it's clean and it's forgotten about.

    I get this message.

[9/15/2011 7:59:50 PM] Stewy...: Lol beleive what you want, this scam report is a pain in my ass though, going to get you banned.

He then posts his scammer report, just because I posted one against him. Something that could have been completely avoided had he actually told me what it was and not acted so shady about it. I contact the mod who tells me to pay him back. I wait for him to get on Skype and he never does. I log in today to find myself banned. Not even by the person who usually goes over scammer reports. Makes it seem like he didn't like the answer he got from the global. He doesn't care about his stuff. He just wants me gone because of the scammer report I filed against him.

I hardly feel like this is worth a scamming ban. The entire reason it went to the lengths that it did is because of the scammer report I filed against him. We were completely cool up until that point. He even picked out someone for me to lure while he was on my friends list. It was his old luring partner, apparently. The lure ended up failing, but either way, I feel like it shows that this scammer report is much less about him wanting to get rid of a scammer and much more about revenge because of a report I filed against him.

We just don't want people like you here at Sythe. Luring is shaky at best, but when you go to the ends that you personally did to lure wolfdog, where's the line between that and scamming?
