How can you spot fake vouches?

yes i would like to know how you can spot fake fouches? I may sell my account in the future and i want to make sure i deal with legit people. Thanks for reading.

 

Since you´r always can recover your account it doesnt matter who you trade with, you should get vouches before selling an account.

 

Use one of my vouches for example...

As you see, there is a little blue square next to the name of the poster, when you click it, it will bring you to the actual post. The one I posted should bring you to my vouch thread. If someone has vouches that bring you somewhere else, or a different person's vouches, it is a fake vouch.

Also, make sure you take a lot of pictures throughout the whole trading process.

Recovering accounts is against the rules.

 

People with LOTS of vouches have scammed.

Also is up to a buyer to buy him or not, he is not forced to have vouches to be able to sell his account.

And in the case he recovered, he would be reported and banned.

 

Yeah to be honest vouches really don't have any effect. For example I won't name the member but he had 800+ vouches with a good history on Sythe. Then he just decided to scam one day. You just have to find the right people to trade with and judge their characters. Also having a huge amount of selling history including large trades can help.

Since you are selling the account they you would have to worry about chargebacks. Only accept paypal from users that have history on Sythe and use a different form of payment like RSGP/WU/MoneyPak etc.

Sometimes there are people who make their own accounts and self vouch themselves. Take example this guy I caught a while back. http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1009590 You can see many 0 post accounts and basically most of them were fake vouches made by him. Just keep an eye out.

Look at their vouch topic carefully as well.

I'll steal Ryan's way of helping you. Here, take a look at my vouch:

Now, do you notice the blue box with the arrow in it? If you click on it, that will redirect you to the original post. Double check the names and what thread it's in. When you redirect, if the name was "Mike123," but when it was redirected it was in my thread, and my name was on it, that was a fake vouch and he should be reported immediately. Report someone here: http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=253. This way other users won't fall for the users fake vouches.

Now, some vouches don't have any redirect on it, like this:

Now, MOST of these are fake vouches, but you shouldn't report them immediately. Look and see if you can find the original vouch by looking around, the vouch COULD be legitimate. A good way of finding out if it's a fake vouch is seeing who vouched for that user, odds are, if a newcomer with a post count of one vouched for that user, it's probably fake. Also, if some vouches have amounts that are hard to believe, like in the example above, it's probably fake, look at the user who was vouches, if he was someone like Viou, it's believable, but if the user is sketchy, don't risk being scammed. Try to follow all these steps to minimize trading with a fake voucher. If you aren't sure if it's a fake vouch, PM me, I'll try to help.
