I think the current most believed theory is inflation (most believed being by up to date people). Where the universe just always 'was' and the expansion of the universe was created by particles from a previous universe.

Nevertheless, my point was that if time was finite, how would a god exist, and if so then there is a plain in which we are unaccustomed to. As far as we know this plain may hold secrets or ideas that require no god for existence to become.

Arguing that there is a god, is pretty much arguing that there may not be a god, as well as there being knowledge that abide by current laws, showing that a god is not needed.

@Munus That's an untestable hypothesis and most people reject that. Your deviating from the Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang theory is not supposed to explain where that small ball of energy came from.

 

I don't think that is relevant. If Big Bang wasn't t=0, then the universe was infinitely old, meaning there is no need for a god. If the big bang was t=0, then either it was 'spontaneous' or it was created by god. Both of these 'causes' of the big bang are inconceivable with the laws of physics, meaning that no one can be proven over the other.

 

But the Big Bang IS t=0 and the laws of physics are used to test what is a posteriori, the argument I divulged was a priori.

But laws of physics can also be applied before the big bang, as I said before, who's to say that the big bang was t=0, no one can say that, as of yet anyway.

Our laws prove to some extent that the universe could exist without a god, which outweighs to need for a god.

Just on a note here, I'm not trying to disprove god, I'm trying to explain why it cannot be proven that there is a god by any of the knowledge we have.

 

I'm not saying got can't be infinite, I'm saying if god was infinite, there would be a whole other dimension we can't conceive, in which could contain evidence that also shows a god is not needed, it could be either.

Your not even looking at my argument. Also, current science doesn't have a backed up explanation of what caused the singularity to happen. It knows that it was there, assuming you subscribe to the Big Bang theory, it just can't answer why or how.
