    Using Wikipedia as a source!

Have you ever been told by your teacher that Wikipedia isn't a reliable source? Let's be honest, the vast majority of the time it is perfectly fine and accurate. I am going to show you how you can use Wikipedia as a source and your teacher will never know!

First, go to www.wikipedia.org, and search for whatever your research paper is about.

Now, find whatever it is you would like to include in your research paper. In this example, the early life of George Washington, Wikipedia tells us that he only received about the equivalent of an elementary school education.

At the end of the sentence, notice that there is a superscript [12]. Clicking on this will lead us straight to the source that Wikipedia uses to verify that everything is legit.

Clicking on it reveals a very reputable source, the University of Virginia. Now instead of documenting Wikipedia in your project's bibliography, you can simply use this website as your reference.

Using this method you can weed out true and false information from Wikipedia and if you need to compile a research paper in a hurry, this is the way to do it. I hope this guide helped someone, please leave feedback on how I can improve it and all that jazz. Thanks!

    Using Wikipedia as a source!

An alright albeit obvious guide for the case in which it will work. Wikipedia often does not site it's work, or it's from a print source, thus elongating the search for information.
Not a bad guide layout. Th pictures are nice; but you should also mix up the fonts. Other than that, there's not much else to say.
Another one-time use guide that I'll store away in my mind for the rare case hat it's needed, so thank you for posting!

    Using Wikipedia as a source!

I find it ridiculous that wikipedia isn't allowed as a source. There are dedicated volunteers who keep their eyes glued on pages making sure that information is accurate. Subscribed to this thread, I've never thought of using the sources of wikipedia articles as sources. This will definitely help me in the future.

Wikipedia is probably not the best source for a school paper or project, but for general information, yes.

Well it's not the best source lol. You also don't always have to add a reference when you write something on a wikipedia article. He said leave feedback for improvement so maybe stating that it isn't always the best source of information would be wise to let someone know. There's a reason teachers usually don't let you cite wikipedia.
