How to insert links in your image [Photoshop]

So you wonder how to add a link in your images , like someone signature with a text saying "Vouches" and when you click on it you go to their vouch thread.

    Here is what you need:

Photoshop CS4 or CS5, a image with text and your brain.

    Like this one

Step 1. Now open up your photoshop, then up your image.

Step 2. Right click on crop tool [IMG] then choose
[IMG] Slice Select Tool to slice the whole images. Or choose Slice tool to choose where you want to slice.

Step 3. Double left click on the image or right click and choose [IMG]] now it should look like this

Step 4. Type in the URL you wanted to open when people click on your image. I will put this link in my URL box [IMG]]. Please type in http:// with www.onepokeko.com not just www.onepokeko.com or it won't work.

Step 5. Now in my Target box you can choose one of these to type in
_blank and _self ( there is _parent , _top and _new but you don't need to use them.
What do they do? I will explain

_blank ( When people click your image new window will pop up and open up the link to the website that you inserted in the URL box )

_self ( When people click your image they will loads the link to the website that you inserted in the URL box in the same frame or window )

I will choose _blank because I want people to open the website in a new window. (Tab for Firefox).

Step 6. Click ok then click File then click [IMG] or press Alt+Shift+Ctrl+S. Then click Save then change the format to HTML and Images like this
    [IMG].

Step 7. Now open the HTML file that you saved if you using Internet Explorer it should look like this [IMG] if Firefox it will look like this [IMG] and you are done.

You can add links to diffrent area on your picture text by choosing Slice tool to choose where you want to slice and add the link. Like use Slice tool on Play text on the picture above I use and add link that when you click you go to page "Play Runescape" and you can use slice tool on Now text on the picture above and add link to go to "Runescape Homepage or Highscore" so when people click Play text they go to "Play Runescape" and when they click Now text they go to RS Highscore or RS homepage. You can use Slice Tool on multiple area for diffrent link ( Slice Select Tool won't work because it will select the whole image and you can only add one link using this tool).

Thanks for reading my first ever made tutorial for Photoshop. I posted this tutorial on other forums.....was too lazy to post on Sythe.

After you save for web and devices you will get a folder (not the HTML file) in the folder it will contain the play now picture that have been cut depend where you slice it If you slice and add link in "Play text" and add link "Now text". In that folder you will get 2 picture one is "Play" and one is "Now". Upload these 2 to ******* or what ever image upload service you use. Paste the FORUM CODE of the 2 picture into your signature then simply add links that you add for "play" and "now" text to that FORUM CODE. It will automaticly join the two picture together and now when people click "play" they go to play RS and when they click "now" they go to RS highscore.....
