Desktop Remote Control that can connect....

I am searching for a Desktop Remote Control that can connect onto my main computer without having to give permission on my main computer like I have to with TeamViewer. I want to be able to connect from other rooms in my house so that I don't need to walk to my main computer to check my bots. I want a program that works like "Remote Desktop Connection" (program that comes pre-installed with Windows 7 computers) but one that works and connects to Windows 7 Home Edition computers.

    Thank you for your help!

Why doesn't Remote Desktop that comes with Windows work?

With teamviewer installed and custom-password enabled, you do not need to authenticate takeovers from partner sources.
You'll just take over it. It sounds like this is exactly what you need.

SuF, this only works and connects/controls Business Edition computers, mine is the Home Edition.

Blade, will try it out and let you know how it goes.

    Fantastic.
Be sure to mess around with the settings a little bit.
Register your computers. Two different accounts, and have them be friends/favorites, I forget exactly what it's called.
Set a "custom code" instead of the randomly generated one. With that, you should be able to log in each time. You can set it to whatever you want, even something easy to remember!:)

Set up teamviewer so it runs at startup and has a set password. Now, just make sure you don't fully shut down the computer and it should work.

Let it start up once and just log off the rest of the time so the process is still active and will allow you to connect.

I do this with one of my desktop computers that's about 75 miles away. It's pretty efficient except for the occasional lag but that's just because of the internet I have on the desktop. I don't even have to type in the password or anything anymore. It just works because I have it set up like that.

    hope I helped
