If she is looking at you for a while and then smiling at you when you look it normally means they like you.
Personally I'd just ask her to come out somewhere with you and your mates and tell her to bring some of hers, i know you said it's a small town but there must be somewhere you can go?
If you invite her out with a few people it's less awkward if you don't know what to do, also if her friends like you she will like you more, they may even invite you out with them sometime and you'll get to know her more.

Anyway I'm rambling on, just ask her to go out somewhere with you, somewhere that's not really seen as a date, just so you can talk and see if she actually likes you.

 

Sounds to me she likes you! Ever consider maybe borrowing a friends' car? Or your parents? As for the age aspect, 2 years is absolutely fine. As long is it feels right, go for it. Best of luck with her!

 

Thanks for the input so far. @shoop, it's not as easy to go out places without a car though especially since I'd want to pick her up and @sean, I'd borrow my mom's car except it's a mini van =p. My sister has a nice corvette but I doubt she'd let me use it cause she doesn't live with me so it'd be a hassle to get it from her.

 

Any car seems to be better than none! Ask her out before it's too late, tbh. Small things like this shouldn't get in the way.

 

You don't NEED a car to go out
Just invite her out to wherever and on the way there (how ever you're getting their) just say how you're planning to get a car soon, she should understand

Also, hassle your sister for her car if you really need it.

 

Yeah I know, driving the mini van shouldn't be a big deal but yeah, I'll probably ask my sister to use her car, the whole car situation isn't a BIG deal but it's a roadblock I guess you could say. But like I said me and her barely talk, just briefly and usually she's the one who sparks the conversation with me so idk how I'd ask her out. I wasn't in a rush to get in a relationship no matter what girl it was but I feel differently about her and idk how to go about asking her out.

 

Just do it! It sounds pretty obvious she's crushing on you....just take the initiative and keep it simple - "Hey, you wanna go to a movie sometime?", "Wanna grab a bite to eat later?" You CAN do it.
Good you have the car issued sorted out. In all honesty though, she really shouldn't care what you drive.

 

If you don't really talk too much try "accidentally" bumping into her in the corridors at school/college, then start a conversation like while you have her attention.
Also talk to her on Facebook more, it's easier to engage conversation on Facebook as you have time to think about what is best to say, just ask questions like "Hi, you ok?" things like that, it will get her talking more.

 

Yeah, when I IM her she doesn't reply ever lol so idk why the fuck she keeps staring at me and then smiling and giggling when I look back at her, maybe she doesn't like me idk.
