Marijuana

Hey guys; and girls. I'm 16, 17 in October. Working at a retail store making minimum wage (enough for me). Recently I tried weed, and I enjoy it. It makes me feel relaxed and brightens my mood. I spend about $10 a week on it, if that. I don't smoke it frequently. My friends recently found out about me smoking it and just don't listen to my opinion on it and always fuck with me about it. There so close minded it's annoying. Marijuana is something you have to try to understand. Before I tried it I thought of everyone who smoked it as losers or junkies. After smoking weed I have no thoughts of doing any other drugs, nor do I feel like I got to smoke everyday. Honestly I'm fine with who I am and I'm just making this thread to ask your opinions on if my friends are just immature. I'm trying to not let them get to me but honestly deep down it sort of does.

 

Scary thing is it can lead from one thing to another. it affects everyone different though so It might not have much affect on you after a while you might wana try something stronger. DONT thats what it gets dangerous.

Your friends shouldn't judge you unless you're trying to force them into smoking.

 

Exactly. I never have asked them to. I don't smoke around them nor do I hang out with them while high because that will cause them to say "You alright bro?" "A little high?"

 

That is simply what you like and what you want to do, the only thing you can do is ignore them when they talk about that, and you'll be fine, sooner or later they'll stop

 

I understand. Fortuantly I mainly smoke to relax and mellow out after a long day of work and school.

 

Shouldn't let people judge you regardless of whether you smoke or not,
Especially ones that probably haven't experienced it themselves and are so close minded and judgmental,
As for me everyone that i hang out and basically affiliate with with smokes n sells so i smoke weed almost everyday once I've gotten my day handled with, so bud for me is a lifestyle & i can just handle it and i love it
As for you, If you enjoy smoking weed and you chose to do it, don't let others try to change your ways just because they haven't went beyond theirs.

 

I had a group of friends who used to give me shit for doing drugs also. Now several years later, they all do them too. They even apologized to me for giving me such a hard time. I'm sure most of your friends will feel differently as they get older. They will eventually be exposed to it and after they try it, they'll realize that weed isn't nearly as big of a deal as they thought.

I used to think people who did it were "Really Bad", I thought Marijuana was super bad to be honest.

Once I tried it I was like "Oh wow, looks like another close minded opinion influenced me growing up.."

Most of the people who talk bad about it ARE the ones that have NEVER tried it.

I also like how you don't do it everyday and only do it occasionally.

I felt the same exact way! I thought that it would ruin my life, lead my to do other drugs, etc... but in reality, I never got addicted, it wasn't a "gateway" drug for me considering I wouldn't THINK of even doing other drugs like Heroin or Cocaine, etc...
They shouldn't judge you, weed doesn't harm anyone, peoples judgments do.

I love what it does to me, most of the time.
For me, it totally depends on what I'm smoking because I've smoked so much weed in my lifetime. I prefer sativa, it gets me more motivated during my days.

 

No matter what.. don't try drugs is my motto

 

Thats cool man just try only smoke every few days and just chill at home or w/e its good your friends dont like it because it turns into a horrible habbit when they all smoke it

 

Weed is okay, but don't smoke too much when your 16, your brain is still developing and if you fuck yourself up your gonna get schizophrenia or fry yourself.
