75/75 or 80/70?

    75/75 or 80/70?

    I'm making a 99 def ranged tank, and I need your opinion:

    80 attack <- for chaotics
    70 strength

    75 attack <- for godswords
    75 strength

    What do you guys think?

    75/75 or 80/70?

    1/1 is better. No reason to get levels up other than using a whip for defense training; however, just know that having higher str and attack means an opponent's turmoil is more powerful.

    Alternatiely, 1-80 is useful because it gives you the option of using Torva. I dont see much use in this, but its at least more useful than 75-75.

    Well I plan on using melee for slayer and just stacking def exp past 99.

    I realize 1/1 would be better but a) that completely eliminates tons of useful quests, and b) no fucking way I'm training all that defense without att/str.

    but actually, I had never considered your attack and strength affecting your opponent's turm.. Good point, thanks. :)

    1/1 is ideal (or LOW/LOW, allowing for exp to be gained by quests), but obviously it's not necessary. 80/70 is better than 75/75, tbh. For a damage per second weapon, Chaotic Rapier is a lot better than a whip (even if the whip had 10 strength points higher) and both are certainly better than a godsword. The only reason you want 75 attack is to possibly use an AGS spec for fun in PKing; however, with a strength so low, you're basically just wasting the special bar. (Also, the best build for dung exp is similar to a boxing account: high attack, medium strength, high defense, high HP. In this regard 80-70-99 would get pretty darn good dung exp/hr :p)

    Also, I think adding them to 150 will make you melee-based. I think the sum of 149 keeps you ranged based--might want to double check to be certain.

    Melee Based is 149+, I recommend 78/70, You can wield Zuriels Staff/SOL when Hybridding, strength levels aren't really needed since you're not a melee pker

    Is there any disadvantage to being melee-based? or is it more just for looks?

    I wouldn't suggest getting 99 defence if you're planning on pking a lot. It makes veng combos far too unreliable.

    75/75 or 80/70?

    75 attack 57 strength. 75 attack for SOL hybriding, 57 str 'cause it's the lowest level you can do hand cannon's quest with(excluding extremes and overloads)

    75/75 or 80/70?

    1/69 is the only use for a range rank.

    69 for hand cannon.

    Getting high str and attack only helps your turmoil friends.
