Preference or Racism?

Many people have certain preferences for who they are attracted too. For example, me personally, I am not attracted to any black women 100%. Some people find this racist, but don't realize that I do have many black male friends, but I am simply not attracted to black girls because I find most very obnoxious/ugly. Now what do you think? Do you think this is racism or just simply preference?

That's like saying you're ageist because you don't find an 80 yr old woman attractive.

 

This question really doesn't make sense because if you prefer not to like black people, then you can easily be considered racist. The fact that you're stereo-typing black women exclusively as obnoxious and ugly, but saying it's only because of your lack of sexual attraction, means that you're both racist and sexist.

 

It's because I am saying "black" girls, which means I am singling out a specific race of women.

Saying most black women are ugly and obnoxious means you're stereotyping.

The fact that you're stereotyping on appearance and not personality means you're sexist.

The fact that you have black friends doesn't make a difference. Just because you grace these few people with your superior presence doesn't absolve you of your racism.

But the thing your not reading is I said that most black girls are both ugly/OBNOXIOUS. Being obnoxious is a part of personality, therefore not making me sexist in any way. It does make a difference having black friends, because if I were racist, I would hate all black people. But again, you are entitled to your own opinion.

 

As are you, and obviously you're not interested in hearing that of others (which begs the question, why did you make a post about it in the first place anyway?). But I'd attribute that to your superiority complex.

Stereotyping a type of woman as obnoxious without giving thought to her other qualities makes you sexist.

Being friends with black people doesn't mean you aren't racist, because like every affliction of the personality, there are degrees to it's severity. Yours is obviously on a subconscious level, amplified by your sexism, since you're so insulted by the idea of someone calling you racist.

 

You just wrote most black girls are ugly/obnoxious. That is stereotyping the majority of a group and you can't argue your way out of that.

Although this seems to be becoming a bit personal, I was going to say something similar.

The truth is: everyone's preference is to be racist. The broad spectrum of natural thinking patterns that racism casts it's oversized umbrella over is far too large to ignore.

 

Who cares if you don't like black girls or your reasoning why, you don't have to be attracted to someone because its pc, fuck you douchers who are anal about other people's personal opinions.

You can't say a majority of a race acts a certain way, that would be considered racist yes.

To back it up I'll use some examples:

If one was to say "I don't like white males because they're mostly all greedy" That's racist.
If one was to say "Most people that are asian are smart" that's racist.

Racism isn't a bad nor good thing, it's when you separate a race and use them as a whole, instead of individual.

Also saying "I have many black male friends" doesn't change anything, at all. That just makes you seem more insecure about it.

This is a good point. However, ages are different than race. I understand if the op said I'm not attracted to any black people I've met.
But saying I'm not attracted to any black girls 100% cause they're mostly obnoxious/ugly is racist.

He hasn't seen every single black person, he hasn't met every single black person. He can't say that fairly.

 

I'm not a racist.
I do think there are women, in every type of race, that are attractive.
I have met some REALLY attractive black girls in my life. Would I date them, if I had the chance, yes.
Then again I have also met some attractive Asian, Latin, Russian, Italian, American, British etc... and then again I have met unattractive women in all races and cultures.
I, for one, would not mind a girl from another race/culture. I think it's interesting.
But as of right now, I'm with an American girl.
And what pisses me off is that people believe that if you're Russian, Asian, Black, White, etc.. you have to date your own race, but that's not true. And I have proven my friends wrong when they always ask me, "You date only Russian Girls?" I say no, I don't actually I'm dating an American.

It's all about preferance. But your preferance could be racist.
Lym is correct. Saying ALL black women are unattractive makes you racist. Saying those that yo have been with/seen are unattractive is your preferance.

Here's a celebrity example;
My friends, American friends, love Megan Fox, Angalina Jolie, etc...
My preferance, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Megan Good, Halle Berry, Eva Mendes etc...

I personally HATE Megan Fox, she's ugly. Most people disagree with me, that's fine, I don't really care, it's just that she isn't my preferance.

Russian

 

Easiest to put it like this:
Different people have different fetishes / whatever. Not liking black women fits into that category. However, it is true that there is a racist background influence, but it is not the primary cause.

 

Unless your reasoning is that most black women are obnoxious and annoying as well as ugly.
