Is my new laptop worth the cost?

I bought my laptop for 900 dollars before tax from bestbuy.

Grave suggested this laptop to me for light gaming, no overheating, and decent battery life when I'm only using internet and word/other useful college programs.

That's pretty freaking decent for 900 bucks in my opinion.. Definitely a worth-while buy, if that was an option to me when I bought my laptop (In the UK so obviously it wasn't) I probably would of gone for it.

 

You definitely got a great deal.

1080p screen, decent laptop GPU, 8GB RAM, pretty good processor, 500GB hybrid HDD x2, bluray drive, 17.3" screen (also a con depending on your preference), etc

Did yours come with the backpack + mouse too?

 

I would say grave gave you some great advice.

Even though you only use it for internet and word, you still might want to play the odd game or two every now and then. $900 is a pretty amazing deal for those specs.

 

Oh I play WoW and runescape both on highest settings no problem, and can run 5 or so bots at once, but nothing too intense, I'm not an avid gamer (until Skyrim comes out, that is)

@ poster above, no it only came with the computer and the cords... this thing doesn't fit at all in my backpack that I bought a while ago for my old laptop ;-;

 

That's impressive, do you happen to have the link to this on Best Buy? (I think that's where you said you got it)

I might start saving up for this lol, I need a new laptop.

Argh.. Lucky bastard haha. I guess I'll just have to start up my laptop fund and keep an eye out for a deal similar to this when the time comes.
