    Account scamming.

Hello. I am bit in panic, because I have never been scammed. Almost week ago my main got scammed, nothing big, but it showed that account is not secure. Now yesterday bought upgrade for 2 of my accounts, upgraded one and tried to log in into account. It showed that I am already logged in, thought that is glitch as it happened before, because I have many accounts. Then I logged in and account was cleaned. I traded cash to it for staking. Woke up in morning and was 50% sure about that the account is scammed is again, and it was.

    Well, my thoughts were:

    *Keylogger
    *Some one knows information

But kinda keylogger it can not be, because then all of accounts could be scammed. And information? I think none knows information about it. I am so confused. Can upgrader scam account knowing nick, last password and transaction ID? I think that's impossible. I also changed e-mail password. Both times password was not changed, it was old one.

What you suggest? I am scanning PC now. Will change all passwords, set pin and do not anything with those accounts until the pin is set. Also will contact Jagex about one of the accounts.

Please tell me how to prevent this.

Honistly what you have done allreaedy, is pretty much all you can do. So Keep making sure that you computer is scanned daily, keep the accounts passwords changed every few days, when you type ur password in type it in like this

    If ur password was:
    ilikenoobs
    Type:
idont...then backspace the dont then continue typing like noobs.
    Keyloggers can't detect backspaces :D

Make sure to thoroughly scan the computer BEFORE changing passwords, or change them again immediately afterwards.

Also, you must understand that if you bought the accounts, regardless of who you bought them from, they are never truly 100% safe. That can only be achieved if you've made the account yourself and never granted anyone access to it.

Download Malwareybytes, do a full scan on "safe" mode.

Also do full scans using anti-virus programs like AVG or Windows Security Essentials.

Did you buy the accounts/go to any phishy runescape site or accept files from someone?

Never have fell on that trap.

Yes, I let one guy to apply upgrade, I was logged in while he was doing it. He did not make it, so I changed password and logged out. When I bought upgrades afterward, the seller gave me the codes from pre-paid cards. I still do not get how I am being scammed.

Keyloger - all accounts would be scammed.
Information - password would be changed.

    Nothing fit this.

Scanned my computer with Avast. Will download that Malwareybytes and will see.

Yes, I logged. The first account was scammed once, the second account got scammed twice with same IP. But different for both scammers.

If it was anything other than keylogging the accounts password would be changed majority of the time and if the hacker is hiding behind a vpn the ip logged in will be different, try searching your username/ password in google whichever is more complex, and you can potentially find whether your accounts details have been dumped somewhere.
