How many bots can I run sticky

Unless the current stickies have some sort of support to them with regards to answers (as stated above), there would be no reason to add another stickie because it will become cluttered with questions and lack answers thereof.

You could however, make a stickie with general TECH info which sets out a guideline with regards to computer specs including RAM to motherboard, etc. that gives a rough idea of the bots you could run with a pentium 1 to a i7 core processor. I think this would be more insightful than a 'spot' for people to ask and not get responded to.

 

The above idea is good, I would support that, it should lessen the questions, but still allow them at a smaller scale.

 

Maybe even make it so people can't reply; just have general spec requirements for running bots added.

No support, it would take activity from the forum, it would be like having a gold buying sticky, in the gold exchange.

It would be nice if stickies actually were active, the simple fact is they're rarely used. Plus, I rather like discussion about botting power.

Stickies to me, cluster up the forum a lot more than threads because they're always at the top of page 1. I'm willing to bet, if this were implemented, within a month the sticky would be long dead.

 

Simply saying ' support ' is classified as spam, you must give a reason.

This is possibly the most ridiculous suggestion I've ever heard. Do you realise how broad the spectrum is on PCs and different components.
Different bots require more/less CPU/Ram etc. than others, there is no set of definite numbers.

Higher quality components, allow more bots to be used than ones that are much lower in quality [cheap].

This would be completely useless IMO.

It would also kill off a lot of the runescape cheating forum.

 

I'm also going to have to say that I don't really support this idea anymore.

It would get rid of the problem of the excess threads, but wouldn't answer those people's questions in timely and efficient fashion. Since that is the purpose of the section itself, I don't think it's something we ought to do.

Also, the volume of threads concerning this issue is not so large. For example, The Price Check and Rate my Account thread stickies were much more necessary.

Haha I agree. So many times, I see people going price check etc and then it's like "help anyone?" and just makes you lmao.

I completely support if some people would answer it. Alot of people just tell straight up lies on threads like that.

Even though the Stickys are useful to get some background information on what you need, they seem useless.
