I will state now I am not a man of religion nor preaching nor any of that. I believe in leading your own life however you choose to. ​

In your daily life, do you "sin" on a regular basis?
Therefore, what is a sin? In your own words that is.

As for myself.. I have broken the seventh commandmant daily for a long time.. I say to live your life however you choose to live it. That is the pursuit of happiness.​

 

I break 3-4 of the commandments on a daily basis.

 

Number 10, God promoted slavery??

 

Someone needs to catch up on their Bible studies. God promotes slavery and rape and other types of crazy shit. Fuck the Christian god, that sadistic bastard.

According to what interpretation of Christianity (assuming that's the religion you're talking about)...? and if you're not talking about Christianity, then which religion? According the the Amish, everyone right now is sinning by using technology. According to the Muslims, everyone should be facing Mecca right about now. According to Confucianism, anyone who has devalued art, practices hypocrisy, or has been uncaring for the common interest of men has lived a sinful life.

Point being, if religion were credible, everyone is basically sinning constantly. You should focus more on abiding by morals and common courtesy than following the rules of the divine just because a book told you so.

I wouldn't say I break the commandments on a daily basis,
But if smoking weed and having per-maratal sex is considering sinning,
Then I have a first class ticket to the gates of hell, Oh well.

 

I break a surprising amount of them regularly. Particularly the one about saying god's name in vain...

On the other hand, I think hell isn't that bad if it's basically what they say it is. The place needs to be turned into a time-share hotel where you have to sit through meetings all day, every day.

Actually, you need to catch up on your Bible studies. God did not "promote" slavery or rape. Culture 2,000 years ago was very different then today. Looking back we are shocked at slavery, but back then it was a normal way of life. We have indeed come a long way.

You just proved Christianities credibility: everyone is sinning and therefore no man can get into heaven without divine intervention (Jesus at the cross). In context, John 14:6: "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" You're right. However to answer your second statement, who decides what is morally acceptable? Society? Culture? You're own opinions? - They all differ, and therefore there must be a foundation on which to establish the Law - and that is what the Bible has done.

Where in the Bible does it specifically say rape is ok? Need I remind you Sodom and Gomorrah were both destroyed because of that very thing. Please quote me a verse in context. Otherwise anything can be misinterpreted (but that's your own fault, not the Bibles). Also, give me an example of where the Bible contradicts itself.

 

I hate how the bible makes people feel guilty for feelings that are completely natural. I go out of my way to use the lords name in vane, honestly.
