Range tanks failing

ive noticed that range tanks just arnt as overpowering as they used to be. I have a maxed rnage tank 102 99 def/range 95 hp and it seems that any1 with chaotic maul or korasi can slam even through my defenses? Is this a change in runescape pking. Ive noticed over the last 6 months now that every1 can bot the dung up have switched to this method for melee. any ideas how to overcome this?

 

Do you have Rigour? Dungeoneering has rewards for ranged tanks too...

But yeah, in general, melee is best for PKing nowadays.

 

yeah its a shame ive never really tried pking with melee. Im trash at it. Ive been a range tank for 6+ years of runescape and my pking career. Its a shame to see it go. i bought max clawer and i sucked at it. I cant stand being a vulture. it pisses me off.

 

I've got a range tank now. It's 99 range 78 def 74 prayer with rigour. I don't I normally get a about 5-6 kill per death. What setup are you using?

 

I have a maxed range tank with rigour and all. Even with rigour and the new range stuff, it's harder than it used to be to just smack down meleers left and right.

 

Just noticed you have 99 defence, that may be the problem. With my account being 78 defence veng combos are much easier to time.

 

I'm a level 84 with 99 str 99 hp, and 3 def. I get merked by def tanks all the time.

 

Get your Def Bonuses up. Back To pking in Nez, Torag legs, granite shield, blk dhide body goodluck hitting on that ^_^

 

99 Defence may be your issue.

My tank is currently 40 defence, (not really a tank) but @ 84 combat, 99 range with c-bow, veng & hand cannon for spec. It destroys!

 

Anything above 75 defence (not considering pernix, as range tanks are meant to pk in high-risk worlds) isn't too effective; the maximum level for a range tank is 95, imo. And yeah, I do have like three tanks I never pk on.
