My name is Zach. I want to be able to sell gold and items on this website, but i know reputation is important. What is the best way for me to build my reputation. so people know that i'm trustworthy(i.e. my gold is good)

Offering skill services and start buying and selling gold or names and just basically build up your vouches, it shouldn't take you too long if you offer a cheap unique skill service.

The vouch system is basically whenever you sell, buy or perform a service such as account training or questing people vouch for your work by writing something like “massive vouch for 12pac he trained my strength from 90-99 for 1m and had full access to my account without taking anything"… . Thus the more vouches you have the more trustworthy you are.

All I have to say is, start your way small and going first to pretty trusted users, then let people start going first. Eventually, you'll be able to middleman. Plus, don't put your RS name on this forum.

 

There's no official vouch system, but almost every person on Sythe vouches.

When a trade between two (or more) parties goes well, they may (and probably will) vouch for each other. Think of vouching like positive feedback on sites like eBay and Amazon. The more vouches, the more trades that users have made and generally, vouches can decide, to an extent of course, how trustworthy a buyer or seller is.

Since you're new and have no vouches, not many people will be willing to go first to you when trading, so to build up trust you should use a (O)MM [(official) middleman] or you can go first instead if the member is trusted.

It's against Sythe rules to require a vouch for a service. However, 95% of the time when a trade goes well, you can expect the other party to vouch for you. If they don't ask to vouch for you, provide a link to your vouch thread. To create a vouch thread, start a new thread here:

with the middleman thing? Do you recommend using one if i have a few vouches and is it possible to get vouches if i buy gold, im just asking if its common practice?

You are allowed to give or receive vouches for any service or trade you do on Sythe that's related to a game (excludes avatar trades, stuff like that).

You should almost always use a middleman, unless someone else is willing to go first to you or you're trading with a very trusted person (such as r2pleasent, Grave, etc.). Official Middlemans (commonly abbreviated as OMM) are middlemans that charge small fees to middleman, but they go through a rigorous process through Sythe to get that rank so it's a VERY unlikely chance you'll be scammed by an OMM. If you don't want to pay fees or the trade is small, I'll recommend using a trusted MM, who will typically MM for free.

Im curious, is it dangerous to use my u/n on sythe the same as my runescape un? if it is how can i change it.

I wouldn't say dangerous, but you should probably not have them be the same, just as a safety precaution.

You can't change usernames, the only way staff will ever let you change usernames is when you're promoted to a staff position and your name isn't very professional.

Since you have no vouches or "progress" on Sythe you should just create a new account. Keep in mind that if any of your accounts interact with each other (like vouching for each other), that's a ban right there.

 

it says i cannot create a new acct cuz i already have one on this ip adress. I dont wanna get banned, im serious on this kinda stuff, but i dont wanna get my actual rs act banned and stuff.

Relax. Your rs account won't get banned. I mean maybe, but it would be very, very unlikely. You can always change the display name is you'd like.

A vouch is nothing more then feedback for u and and the person you traded with.
To become legit it takes a little initial investment. Id suggest starting off buying like 10m- 20m from trusted members. Then resell 10m at time. This shows people u r legit and can conduct a trade. Pm me before any trades if ur unsure if a trade is safe. Gl. Stay legit.
