This is too sick. What's with the beastly GFX card when all you play is RS .

 

Why do you just assume all I do is play RS? You sir are sorely mistaken.


I play WoW, CS, LoL, CoD, Dues Ex, Eve, RS. Should I continue?

Well, given that you play at 5760x1080 (or maybe 1200, dunno what your aspect ratio is on those monitors) I could MAYBE see it, but except for the fact you can't use 3 displays on one NVIDIA card I still kinda can't see the necessity lol

 

Deus Ex isn't that demanding, but overkill ftw.

There's a guy on OCAU with an SR-1 2x 6cores, getting quad SLI 580s, and all he does apparently is browse the web/sometimes play TF2 lol...

 

Wow hahaha, I hope that guy has a ton of throwaway money or something.. otherwise what a waste he better at least do some F@H with that hardware.

He should gimme 2 of his 580s, he won't even notice a difference.

I have two of the cards, which is why i state in my OP, "ripping THESE out of my old pc" which normally means theres more than one. And i play dues ex as well as cod black ops on 5760x1080, and ive also pre ordered and am awaiting the release of a few new games.

I just went back and read it again. I misread/misconstrued it. My bad. I initially read/replied to it on my ipad.

 

Did no such thing. I was only pointing out that 2 480s is unnecessary for all of those games except maybe Deus Ex HR. Even COD should run fine on just one.

I received everything except for the Chassis. I have started to set some stuff up (setting the RAM, the CPU, etc)

No. And Maybe 1-2 because that's all I run.

Looking good so far, why not just run it on the MOBO box til the case comes?
