do i need a new grahpics card or what?

so everytime i play games, i mainly play counter strike source, i get these crazy ray things and can see through some random walls. the pictures dont show it that good cause it gets a lot worse. im just wondering if its the graphics card and i just need a new one or if theres an easy fix, thanks

Looks like you're getting some screen tearing and yea it could be because your card is failing. But it might happen to be a driver problem so try uninstalling / updating your graphics drivers and see if that helps.

Try updating the drivers first. If that doesn't fix it, make sure all of your GPU settings are at default (reverse any overclocks you have on the card)

If all that doesn't fix it, your card is failing pretty much. I highly doubt it will fail catastrophically just from getting a few artifacts here and there but if I were you I would return it if the warranty is still active, or buy a new card if not.

 

Update your drivers and reset it to factory settings, that might help a lot.
