Do you read?

Who reads books? I'm curious as to how many people on sythe read! If you do, what's your favourite book/genre?

 

I never read. I can't sit down for more than 30 minutes and stare at words on a page, I need to do something else.

 

Really? Is it just boredom, or is there a proper reason?

 

Sometimes I do read. I only read books that interest me like ghost stories, science, marijuana stories, guitars mystery books, cars etc. If its romance or something with big words or some long ass book like harry potter, I will never read that.
I mostly read or look at magazines like popular science, Project Gotham, Mens Magazine, Fitness, Lifetime Health, and mainly cars and exercise/body building.
When it comes to school books like history, math etc I can't even sit for 30 seconds and read them. Also I can't sit down and study at all which is something I need to work on.

 

Boredom. If there's something I'm really interested in, I'll read it for hours non-stop. However, since most books don't fall into this category by an overwhelming majority, I abstain from picking up books to read, and when I do, they as per above generally don't interest me.

 

I only read when I need to because of school, its really a boring thing to do.

I like to read science fiction and fantasy.

 

Usto read a ton as a kid. Between like 5th grade to 12th grade did hardly any reading other than school stuff.

Now that I'm in college I like to read. I actually wish I had more time so I wasn't just reading text books. I'll read news papers, magazines, and books. I like suspense books a lot. Dean Koontz has some great books. Beware a few of his ending really suck though, HUGE disapointment. Just finished a great one by him, Face of Fear.

I think I'm going to start Shutter Island next loved the movie.

The one book I would love to get to read is Inception. Book would be so great, wish they had one.

 

I haven't read many books. I've tried starting a few, but I always get bored and never finish. I never really read many of the books in school either and pretty much got by using sparknotes.

 

I used to enjoy reading a lot more, but now not as much. I only read text books or assigned reading books for school, other than that, I am like malaka and I get bored really easily when reading. I find there is much more interesting things and a much broader selection on the internet.

But I'm the exact opposite.
I skip reading school books.

I found an author I really like though, his name is Robert B. Parker and he writes a series of books/novels about mystery and crime that has a little twist of sex and guns. It's a series I just read two pages of, and got hooked. I could never drop a book after starting it, and I still enjoy all of his books.
Haven't read them all, but my goal is to read all of them, in order

I've read all but two of his books, honestly there are far better authors out there, but he's pretty good.

The only books i've read out of free will are the harry potter books 6 years ago. So no, I don't read.

 

Those aren't books, they're words randomly arranged to create millions of dollars.

 

I only read when there is a book Assignment in school.
