Am I too cautious/paranoid with botting?

Typically I try to keep my botting (I do only one account at a time and purely for personal enjoyment) to maybe ~4 hours a day when I'm just wandering around the house so I can keep a semi-eye on things. This is done as a precautionary measure against getting banned.

Am I too cautious? I regularly see people discussing their botting habits and how they go 24/7 or at least significantly more than ~4 hours a day. Do these people expect to get banned eventually but are just rushing to gold farm/whatever before it happens? Or again, am I simply being too cautious?

 

Honestly, it depends on the bots that you are using. If you are using free ones, some aren't as good, and may get you banned quicker than a payed one would. I personally bot 10-15 hours a day with no problem.

It's up to you. Just know that by botting, you are breaking a game rule, and it is punishable by ban. You may get lucky and you may not, everyone is different.

Yes you are to cautious. Really, eye a bot? Just let it do its thang.

 

Depends on what you're botting. LRC, SW, Alching at sw chest, stuff like that I won't care about because there's a low chance of me getting banned.

If I was mining at ardougne mining iron ill watch it because other people (most likely botters) come there to start botting and start talking to me. Places like that I won't risk it.

but yeah, your too cautious....i run mine for like 20 hours a day at the least

 

4 hours is far too little. You need to take a bit of risk if you want to achieve greater things.

My computer has been on for nearly 2 weeks, got 99 FM, and botting 80 dung atm, non-stop. I've been using auto-fighter for a little over a year and have not gotten banned yet!

 

I am botting 24/7 in crowded places: agility courses, mining/fishing in living rock caverns, slayer.

I usually babysit (3-4 h a day) when I bot in non-crowded places, e.g. firemaking, hunter.

Free scripts can be as good as paid ones. Use a bot client, which uses reflections (Nexus iBot, RSBuddy). Make sure script is running flawless. It is nice to have an anti-ban in a script, though it does not have a big effect whether you are or are not to be banned. Jagex is mainly banning bots from reports.

Just do not bot in places, where people get a lot of bans (sorceress garden I think, gatestone creating).

 

I used to be as paranoid as you were, but I've found that botting 24/7 is much more beneficial overall than botting minimally. I believe that botting 24/7 doesn't raise the chance of your ban except that it gives more time for people to report you (that's how Jagex finds out botting). I've even botted 24/7 with free scripts from RSBuddy with only one ban.

 

Jagex used to care but it no longer does since the new ownership... I don't think it matters... just don't bot 24/7 for a whole month and you will be good

 

Thanks for all the replies. When you bot for an extensive amount of time do you add in breaks or just gogogogo?

 

I run 65 accounts a day, all day, every day, zero breaks. So far, I've went through 100+ accounts like this with no ban. Each account "matured" for about 2-5 weeks before it was sold.

 

Running accounts 8-10 hours a day is about average.

 

I run ~10 accounts, 24/7.
Just do it in crowded places, and you'll have no problem.

 

I bot the same way. most people that bot 24/7 do it for gold.

All depends on what/where you're botting tbh, and whether the script is good and not some free garbage I.P flagger.
