Will botting destroy Runescape?

What do you think about this? Please only post if you actually play, and don't just do it to make some IRL cash.

I play legit and I'm almost ashamed to admit I'm botting a bit.

 

Honestly, I don't think botting is destroyed RuneScape if anything it's helping it. People are acheiving goal's they've had for a while very easily now, if anything they are spending more time on it. You may not think so now, but in the long run, they are spending more time doing stuff they enjoy in the game. Whether it be PKing or PvM, which tend to require some boring stats.

 

I agree with lova, Manu people are reaching thier goals and liking the game more because they don't have to grind

This, lol. The reason isn't really because of the small botters who bot to get skills up on their main, but because of those people that run massive goldfarms.

Runescape is dead.. give it a few more years, and it will eventually end.

 

The game has already died due to botting, and even the push for the removal of the Trade Limit but legitimate players, they failed too see that the game would be ruined once again by Botting, and why Jagex actually implemented the Limit and the Grand Exchange in the first place.

 

As much as we LOVVVVED free trade when it came out, I want it gone. I think the people running massive gold farms are ruining it for the us moderate botters.

Already is botscape, lol. I used to play legit all the time (Got 99 Cook) and then I botted dungeoneering to 99 and now I just want to bot all the time because I got 99 dung faster than the cook which I did legit because I could bot at night. Once you start botting you can't stop as when you play legit you get bored easier

So yeah, I think botting has destroyed RuneScape.

 

Its to late to ask this question as it already as been destroyed. Free trade was a huge mistake. At first I thought it was a bad idea to remove it. Now I understand why free trade was better off removed from the game.

 

It might not be too late - if they were to change things back they MIGHT be okay.

Botting makes the game god awful boring. When I use to play I got into botting, every time I'd bot up a skill and reach my goal I had nothing to fucking do so I'd bot something else. I realized most of the entertainment I got from the game was from the actual training and doing things myself, as shit boring as it was. But the game is boring one way or another, I'd rather play some other MMO that isn't so damn time consuming.

Yeah. Tbh they should make another vote, voting for removing free trade. Crack down on the people who use bots to make IRL cash.

 

Gold is the same price as it was back before Free Trade's re-release. People just got junk.

 

Runescape is long overdue. It is a dieing franchise even with botters, although botting has increased the rate of its demise.

 

There's nothing wrong with people botting their mains to get a few 99s, But the greedy faggots who run goldfarms fucked up the game. What pisses me off the most is some people don't even LIKE the game and just bot it to milk cash out of it, when they could make lots more working part time at a fast food store

I got my roomate started in botting just to make money; we are actually trying to start a frostdragon farm now

Botting in runescape is something every one does and I have nothing against them, obviously no one has time to train their skills up to 99s just to enjoy the game. But, every one are against these gold farmers who ruin money making methods.
