Gold4RS vs Jagex, who will win?

The battle between Gold4RS and Jagex may have begun,which do you think will be the winner?

How come they come up with a stupid meaning for it, like Gold 4 Robot Scripts or semething? totally change the trademark/copyright.

Jagex, imagine Gold4RS in a court room saying 'one moment' then typing everything into Google translate.

 

It will be an interesting case if it goes to court.

Gold4RS should just avoid it and change their name imo.

There are two different ways to look at this:

1. Gold4RS can use the name Runescape because they are demonstrating compatibility. For example, if someone made a program called "Reader for Windows 7" it should be legal as it implies the product, as in reader/gold, being compatibile with a service, runescape/windows 7.

2. Gold4RS cannot use the name as gold for runescape sounds like it implies they are affiliated with jagex. Perhaps gold4rs would need to place a disclaimer on their front page or have a generalized landing page if they wanted to continue using their original domain.

 

I don't think Jagex would take them to court because if they did, they'd take every other goldfarm to court.

 

Gold4rs will win this for sure. The only grounds that they can bring them to court over is copyright infringement. Once gold4rs moves their servers to gold4fun.com Jagex will be powerless to do anything about it.
