Merchanting

Merchanting Is buying an item for XXX and reselling that item for XXXX. This used to be done a lot in the old days of runescape. Users would buy whips from players for less and sell them for more to other players.


Clan chat mercanting

This used to be very popular the owner of a clan chat would tell you an item to buy and it would force the prices to rise due to the volume being bought of that item. I personally don’t like these and have lost lots from the leaders dumping the items really early.


Flipping

This is by far my favorite way of making money in runescape. It is super easy to do now with the grand exchange. What you do is buy an item or items and sell them back for more in a matter of minutes. This will be the type I will be going over in this guide.


How flipping works

Flipping is much IMO the easiest way to make money with the grand exchange. What you do is buy one item for 5% above the mid price in the grand exchange and then sell 5% below mid. You may be asking why do this wont I lose money? No you do this with only one item and by doing it you will be finding the buying and selling prices.

Example

Buy 1 pure essence for 132 gp then you sell it at 130 gp you lost 2 gp but now you know the lowest people are selling for and the highest they are buying. You would then put an offer in the grand exchange for XXX pure essence for 130 gp and after that got bought you would resell the pure essence for 132 gp. 2 gp does not seem like a lot but if you bought 25k and resold them in like 10 minutes you would have made 50k profit.


How much you can make per hour flipping?

The amount varies from player to player I would say 200-500k Per hour on the safe side. Which is pretty good for just buying and selling things.

Runes
Food
Armor
Weapons


Just make sure there is a demand for the item and you can flip with it whatever the price

I'm trying to flip fire runes, idk how well it will work. How long do they usually take to sell?

 

well to buy it takes longest imo you buy 1 5% above if it buys 5 gp then you sell i 5% below and if it sells 4gp then you buy 4 gp sell 5

 

Thanks man I got the hang of it now. I just started flipping. I only started with about 1.8m. I know that's horrible to flip with, but I just wanted to test this out. So far I made 20k on pure essence, and 60k from raw lobsters. Thanks you so much!
