Username change

Hello Sythe Staff,

I would like to request a username change from choman to GoldNGlory.

When I created this account, I was completely new to Sythe and did not know that usernames generally cannot be changed later. I picked a personal name quickly without understanding how important long-term branding is on Sythe.

I now run my services under the GoldNGlory name (website/Discord/thread branding), and I want my Sythe profile to match that identity to avoid confusion for users and to keep my branding consistent.

If a name change is possible, I am happy to follow the proper process.

You need to be at least a $5 donor to have access to this and the ability to change your name.

Minor Name Change Requirements
Have donated a minimum of $5
Your Sythe account must be at least 1 year old
Your Sythe account must be in good standing for at least 3 months prior to the request (Not DNT'd or TWC'd)
You must have 2FA enabled on your Sythe account (To enable 2FA visit https://www.sythe.org/account/two-step)
You must post the request from your home IP
You must not have previously had a minor name change
The name you are requesting must NOT already be taken by another Sythe user


Major Name Change Requirements
Have donated a minimum of $200 ($500 for a second major change)
Your Sythe account must be at least 1 year old (6 months for $300 donors and 3 months for $500 donors)
Your Sythe account must be in good standing for at least 3 months prior to the request (Not DNT'd or TWC'd)
You must have 2FA enabled on your Sythe account (To enable 2FA visit https://www.sythe.org/account/two-step)
You must post the request from your home IP
You must not have previously had a major name change unless you meet the requirements for a second one
A year must have elapsed since your first name change before a second one may be approved

 

i see thank you, in that case its not possible, for me, my account is pretty new, but thank you for your time and information

 

You could always consider making a new business account on here to match your business name.

 

ill leave it for now cuz i have no idea how it will look liike making same posts with different name, and then same for the discord UID i am not sure if i get into any issues, but ill just leave it for now and continue like this wait till a year then i can focus on that, it is honestly not too BIG of a deal, it just looks better
