OMM proofs

Skype is one of the best or probably the best online messenger.
As I have noticed, in OMM application proofs Skype messenger conversation pictures are not being mentioned. I strongly advice to add it.

Good idea. Since it's just like other messenger services I don't see why it shouldn't be added

 

It's funny that I have done like all the trades I need to get OMM, but I have only taken pictures of one trade

Disagree, Skype can be edited and if an issue ever arose its impossible to tell if entire sentences were changed or edited simply to add a period. Due to the ability to edit, Skype shouldn't be endorsed for any type of trading imo.

It will say the message is edited, but you can not retrieve the old message.

You can only edit your message within like 5 minutes.
Moreover, you still need other pictures. Plus, you need the other people to confirm your transaction, you can not edit their messages and if needed, staff can check and contact these members and ask did that transaction really happened. Skype should be definately added.

 

Not only that, but messages can be deleted in entirety as well. Someone could use this to delete an incriminating statement before the user has a chance to get screenshots of it.

 

You can edit/delete your message within like 5 minutes, then you can not do anything about it. So it does not change like anything.

Plus, if you edit your message, than a message * Edited. Time.* appears.

It would be only used to confirm that the transaction happened (the other two members would confirm that in a chat), so you can not get it abused, you still need the pictures of received and completed delivery.


You can get it a little abused if you are making a scam report, but you can not get it abused while posting OMM proofs.

Yes, you can do the actions (edit,delete) few minutes after you have posted your message. You can not do it whenever you want.
I will try to get the time when you are not able to do those actions.

Well, it is not 5 minutes or 10. The time is around hour or so. That does not make better the situation.

 

You only need a picture of the members skype usernames (this can not be edited).
And you need to ask both members to confirm that trade is completed, for example ''Trade is completed'' (the other members would need to say it, so you would not be able to edit it), in no way you could abuse it.

Settler, what service, what security? Skype is 100% secure and we are talking about OMM application pictures only.

It is simply not a secure method of chatting for proof.

 

Window live is not secure, Skype is definately secure.
Using it always, never had a single issue.

 

Not everyone has skype, mostly everyone has a email account that they can use on live messenger.
I don't think it's worth adding in, as so few people do trades through skype.
