    Runescape Dying?

i dont see it dying really, it died after the first wildy update and as soon as it came back the population increased dramaticlly, only thing really dying is the number of acual players, i see more bots than players skilling now a days

    Runescape Dying?

It's just a bot RS zombie apocalypse, It's not really a game anymore It's just a pixel money farm. It's definitely going to die if they leave it in this state.

    Runescape Dying?

Bots have over ran RS, and the actual few legit players that play RwT, so in other words, possibly, depending on which way you're looking at it,
    By the way, Guru:)

    Runescape Dying?

Rs got lethally wounded in '07, dropped to the floor and started dying a slow death, untill they re-animated it with bot powers.
Now it's like a huge zombie, it's bigger and stronger than it was when it still was alive, but only a tiny portion of it's brains is still intact.

    Runescape Dying?

It's like Silkroad Online. The legit players, in most situations have botted somewhat to max level, at that stage, there is no reason to bot but to do 'advanced' things such as dungeon bosses and PK. A part from that, the game is just not a viable stimulus for the average player anymore. The days of grindfest gaming is coming to a cold end.

The game acts as a trading hub for laundering money essentially. It won't die because people like us need it as a medium to make/sell and trade money.

    Runescape Dying?

Quite honestly, RuneScape is dead, from what I've read and what you see walking around, only like 1/4 of the online players are actual players, not bots.

Of the actual players online 3/4 of them probably do bot and rwt, F2P is pretty much dead because of all the mass advertising bots selling gold.

    Runescape Dying?

I think that is pretty disappointing though
I mean seriously how hard is it for a mod to just go every now and then into f2p worlds and ban all the advertisers, there is about 50 of them at grand exchange and bank in all worlds
I personally play f2p only and it makes it much less of an atmosphere with all the spammers and even worse it shows Jagex does not care for it, they only care for profit which is why they only focus on p2p, yes i know it is easier to get p2p spammers because f2p u can just make a new account. but they can atleast try and stop them :x

^Agreed, at lumby and G/E there are auto-spammers advertising their websites and if Jagex really cared they can instantly ban all of them so fast, but they only focus on P2P as stated before.

I think it's doing exactly the opposite, Kid's are spending more on GP then they ever have.

This. I do think there are quite a few people left playing legit only, or playing legit and are botting at the same time.
