A hard moment in our lives.

I would like to ask for people who want to comment something negative or related to spam - please do not do it.

Today airplane crashed with KHL team "Lokomativ". There was around 45 people, two or three survived.
One of survived hockey players are Alexandr Galimov.

The Russian team also featured several top European players and former NHL stars,
including Slovakian forward and national team captain Pavol Demitra,
who played in the NHL for the St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks.

Other top names include forward Josef Vasicek of the Czech Republic,
Czech defenseman Karel Rachunek, Russian defensemen Ruslan Salei and
Karlis Skrastins, and Swedish goalie Stefan Liv.

The KHL is an international club league that pits together teams from Russia,
Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Slovakia. Lokomotiv was a three-time Russian
League champion in 1997, 2002-2003. It took bronze last season.

Karlis Skrastins was from Latvia. A lot of people are mourning now,
I am writing this with tears in my eyes, second Latvian player who I loved.

The investigation have been started. Media have told that the airplane have not gained the right speed after the airplane took off the runway. Also the airplane have went through inspection before the flight. But who knows, it is Soviet Russia.

Some portals write that the Alexandr Galimov also died.

A hard moment in our lives.

Spawning one of the greatest and most inspirational football movies of all time.

I get goosebumps thinking of that movie.

It's very sad, but more basic information would be nice, now I have to go look it up myself. Tragedy is at its worst when avoidable.

    ^ Exactly.
If something went wrong with the plane though, then there was nothing they could do, short of jumping out.

Fuck, man. Today is a sad day in hockey history.. RIP. I don't follow the KHL but it's sad to see almost an entire team wiped out like that..

A hard moment in our lives.

Every country mentions their hockey players and others too. We had also honorary march in Latvia for Kārlis Skrastiņš and other "Lokomotiv" team players, also the airplane crew.

A lot of people have mourn in their hearts. Official KHL channel shows games of "Lokomativ" winning games. I was crying when I saw the players from game video archive, still playing, still scoring, still defending their teammates...

I will try to update any information about the two or three survived people.

    God bless.

Also read that past in history also have died two Latvian hockey players with SSSR(CCCP) team. That happened in 1950 year, an airplane crashed too. This team made son of Joseph Stalin Vasily Stalin.

    The history repeats. :(

A hard moment in our lives.

Same thing happened in 1958 with the Manchester United football team.
20/44 of the passengers died, many of whom were famous footballers at the time.

R.I.P All those lost in the skies.
