Back in the day

I was just sittin' in my computer networking class and got to thinking about when i first started playing runescape. I started the game when i was around 8 or 9 years old and am now a 19 year old. Santa hats were 100k, r2hs looked like blue lightsabers, dragon med helmets were the best looking thing on the game, their were no bots AT ALL, cheating sites for runescape didnt exist, the best training place for pures was some house that had level 13 rats in them and the best training spot for mains was the ice dungeon. Its just so weird for me to think that this game has completely changed in every single aspect. TKS was also the number 1 player when i begun, could anyone tell me when that was? Post some "Back in the day" memories you have.

 

yea i guess its wired but then again, runescape wouldnt have been so popular now if it had all the same old stuff

lol ive only been playing 5yrs? i wanna say that, yes but not constant playing back when i started Zezima was #1. Alot of on and off playing so my main is pretty pathetic, but i dont really mind :3 i love my accnt.

 

When I first joined my friend was waiting for me to spawn in lumbridge after the tutorial, he had played for a few weeks before I started. As soon as I came to lumbridge a nice guy gave me full bronze. My friend was so jealous.

Back then the whole community was nicer, there were no pures and stuff flaming everybody. Nobody was botting it was just amazing.

 

There were always pures and there were always rude people back then. Plenty of scammers, for example. Take your rose colored glasses off

My best "back in the day" memory would have to be pking in f2p with a pure clan level 40-50.

Rune scims with r2h, prayer robes, rangers, and then your pesky mages.

It was the shit when you ran into another clan at hills.

Besides that, it would have to be when I legitimately leveled my strength to 72 and thought I was the shit... After that, I started botting.

 

I know how i chopped willows in Draynor whole day long.
Not to overcrowded at that time, and it was fun to talk to people etc.
I was selling my chopped willows in the bank, for 17 GP each, and was calculating the price on a calculater, just to be sure he wouldn't scam me for 100gp.
Great, great times.
