Member of the month? No more?

We seem to have lost a lot of community members.....and anonymous voting would be much better

 

No use, we all know I will win every month.

It was nice for people to be appreciated.

 

^He's so correct; why have him, if we're going to influence bad forum behavior? Anyway's private voting would be nice so there is not bitching at one another for voting for someone else. I honestly feel like the only time some-one gets voted enough is because their good friends with the person and tell them to vote for them. I say it should just be staff voted.

 

I've gotten very close to winning and I really don't have any good friends. It seems to me that people just follow the trends that others set. If the voting was private, these trends would most likely not appear and better votes might result.

I would like to see votes go private.

 

Im all for private votes; make a suggestion.

 

Private voting would be nice... But how would that system work? Guest posts for the entire thread? You can't really do a poll considering you can vote for anyone.

 

No point in having members/staff of the month, if people are just going to copy others, or talk over about it then choose. Private votes is what really needs to happen.

Community Member of the month is sort of unfair though, as the majority of the people just vote JohnK or Scotty.

No. Like no one can see who is being voted for, meaning they can not see the results until it is over. A PM voting system would work fine.

 

This would work just fine. I hope whoever runs it have on empty night for results day

 

Isnt it possible to make a thread like the ones on the rsof so when you post, it's automatically hidden?

 

I Agree, i hidden vote would be very good and would make voting alot more fair.

 

I will think about the hidden voting, but then, I'd need to think of 2-3 people myself for the votes.

 

Make an email account dedicated to nominations, have people email you nominations,and add a poll based on nominations, therefore private nominations and private voting.
