First day of school...

Today I had my first day of school as a Junior in Highschool. It was a fun but long day with a lot of rules and shit. It was great to see my friends and go out to lunch and have a good time. But I wanted to know how your guys first day of school went, and what were the highlights of it? Also if you'd like post your personal goals for this school year below, whether its to getting BJ or 4.0 gpa . Also if you like post your schedule and any hits or motivation for my Junior year plz do below!

1st: Spanish 3
2nd: English 11
3rd: Ap gov-Summer assignment read 1984 by George Orwell and write paper, my paper is 6 pages long, jelly much? ?
4th: Chem
5th: Pre-Calc

..yes that's right no electives. If you have taken any of these classes, give me any good advice for the classes and what will be on exam/ect..

I had my first day today, it was actually pretty good. I hope tomorrow goes well.

Well anyway good luck with those classes, spanish is fun imo. I haven't started college for this semester yet, classes start on the 12th I think

Spanish is easy if you've got a good memory, then you can pretend you learned the language, and just get by with BSing an accent and throwing out words you memorized:>

tomorrow first day at a totally new high-school... *gulp*

 

First day of university was actually less scary than first day of high school. Even though the work load and difficulty has more than tripled. I'm doing medical science.

 

Ouch man that's really hard. I started H.S at a new school district as freshman, I knew no one. But I made friends in no time, you won't be the only new kid. I would suggest joining sport team or club so you can meet people and going to football games/dances, ect is good way. I would say just have balls and don't be a pussy.

 

Yeah I have never envisioned college scary. It sounds like a fun time in life. But ouch x3 work. I have AP Gov this try so hopefully that will prepare we will for college.

 

Anesthesiologists put people to sleep, prep people for surgery, monitor during surgery, etc

Great job, highest paid doctor in a hospital, but not without reason; you need exceptional malpractice insurance... and a lot of money to fight constant court battles. Everyone blames death during surgery on the anesthetics

 

Oh yeah. I heard you got 2 go 2 college 4 like 12 years for that.

 

You have to get a doctorate degree, which is 8 years if you are a full time student the whole time. I've already knocked down two years of college while I was a junior and a senior in highschool, so I only have 6 years of school and a few of Military service, and another few for internship (which I may be able to do at the same time as I'm in the marines, but we'll see)

 

I've been in college for about 3 weeks now, it's pretty fun so far. I'm liking the faster pace coming from High School. I used to get so bored in High School that I just wouldn't even do the work because the people were so damn retarded it took them like at least twice as long to do everything. Now that I'm challenged a bit more, I hope I can keep up the attitude I've got right now. Shooting for a perfect 4.0 GPA but realistically I'll be happy with a 3.7+. I'd agree with whoever it was who said the workload is like easily double to triple that of High School. I never remember having to read that much during High School, now I'm going through multiple 20-30 page long chapters pretty much daily, most of the time in more than one subject as well. It's mostly lectures during class period too, like 90% of my actual work aside from one or two classes has been done at home or online.

 

Lol, first days at my school are completely boring, unless you are entering to the 1st semester of high school, they enter one day before us but they have a rally and all kind of fun stuff, the older's first day is just copy the schedules and introduction of the subjects :S lol, In the personal way it was great.

 

First day as a Senior was GREAT!! Seen all of my Friends, and messed with some Freshman.

 

Don't start classes in uni til next week. Spent this first week just getting stupid wasted at party houses near the campus before things get serious.

 

I don't have school anymore! I graduated and it really sinks in about this time of year, haha.

 

College started yesterday for me for the second time [dropped out first year], was pretty nervous at first, I'm not the best when it comes to meeting a bunch of new people.

Anyway, went well, made about 10 friends on the first day, today was pretty easy too, started at 10, ended at 11. Lessons begin Monday.
