Need help with using prepaid visa on Paypal

So I bought a prepaid visa worth $50, went to mybalance.ca and registered the card, I then made a paypal and added the card to the paypal, as well verifed my email address. Whenever I try to send money, I get the error:

"Sorry, your payment won't go through. To make it work, you'll need to add money to your account and pay with your PayPal balance."

The payment I'm trying to make is only $45, so it's not like I don't have enough money to purchase the account. I've tried everything I can currently think of.

Help anyone??

 

Why don't you try paying for your product without using PP. That's the only thing that I can think of, but then again I haven't used Vancity. I've only the prepaid cc from western union with that linked to PP and that worked just fine.

 

Unfortunately, I can't do that since the money I'm sending is to a paypal.

I do have some advice, but you're not going to like it. From what I remember you cannot use a pre-paid card to set up a Paypal account. You have to use a debit/credit card that is linked to a bank of some way/shape/form. In fact, I'm surprised that your paypal account hasn't been limited yet due to these conditions not being met.

Mine was limited within a few days of me not having a card linked to it. :s

The only thing you can do is find a way to put that money towards something else, ie: somewhere that accepts a gift-card (I find them hard to come by). The other thing you could do is find someone to cash that money out for you (ie: someone that buys gift-cards [there are a few on Sythe])

 

Around a year ago I used my moms credit card on a brand new paypal and probably made at least $100 worth of transactions and the account still isn't limited. I've also seen people claiming they used a prepaid visa on their paypals (from threads I've found on Google).

 

Sorry man, To add money to PP, you have to buy a MoneyPak, prepaid cards don't work...
Tha MoneyPak raises your spend limit, though
