Nice so the precedent is that sellers don't even have to sell gold to make money. They can make fake deals, not deliver over several days while trying to alter the deal, then ultimately lie on the scam report to make money. Great showing. Awesome logic. Hell not even scamming. I might have to become a gold seller, as well. Thanks for the idea.

Your options are also hilarious. Under no circumstance would I reward Searchy by purchasing anything from a rat fuck. Plus with this sort of precedent why would I trust this site to uphold any logical resolution? I've seen over the last couple of weeks, waiting for this sham to finish, where you guys ban scammers for 3 months? The fuck kind of shit is that? You ban them forever.

 

I just want to point out that you shouldn't expect gold sellers to always have the gold in stock when a buyer orders gold. Jagex increased their detection system which means holding gold, especially large amounts, is very risky. Most gold sellers no longer consistently hold large amounts of gold in stock (maybe sporadically, but not frequently), especially during the hours where Jagex is likely to be active. It is almost always really easy to find gold to fill orders, unless there's massive ban waves going on.

A lot of (bulk) orders get (partially) outsourced by the majority of gold sellers. We have small margins, which means in the event of e.g. large ban waves and rates spiking 10%+, we can no longer deliver the order. Even though this is very rare, it can still happen. Just because we have low prices and try and give fair prices to everyone, doesn't mean what we do is "blatantly unacceptable". We could just refund the order and everyone can move on

Either way I would like some clarity on whether or not outsourcing trades is allowed, because nothing is stated in the rules about that

And I also don't think there's a rule that we are forced to deliver an order if we accept it? Even though we did offer @Zotaku the gold anyways to make up for the inconvenience that was caused. If there is a rule saying we MUST deliver something after we take payment for it, then I'd like to know
