Basically a rate your computer thread. Rate mine? It's a prebuilt but does what I need it to. i7 860 GT320 1tb seagate barracuda 6gig ddr3(generic) generic mobo. Plays MW2, BO, Killing Floor max no AA at 1080p so it does the job. Post your computer specs and I'll rate them(others might join in too? )
On a scale of 1-10? :/ you're looking at maybe a 3-5 compared to my builds and most others. That's not to say "Oh your rig sucks." No I'm not going to be mean like that. I'm simply saying you should look into building one on your own, or perhaps adding onto what you have already, and swapping out the generic parts for something with more capability. If you need any help building, I'd gladly help. I'm not going to go into so much detail on the motherboard or anything really specific, because for the life of me I can't remember the exact model on my mobo, but I do know its Intel. 8GB DDR3 Corsair RAM 1GB DDR3 Dual nVidia graphics cards Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Quad Core Processor (Clocked at 3.33 GHz, haven't gotten around to overclocking for anything important) 1TB WD hard drive (SATA) Swiftech H20-220 Ultima XT Liquid Cooling Kit (For when I really need to get some performance) And just a generic case with some nice LEDs inside to show off the systems core lol. Like I said, not too in detail with the weird parts that nobody cares about.
I know, shitty prebuilt ftw, it was just to get the thread started. I can build now(didn't know how when I bought it), but I don't need anything more powerful for the time being. I'll probably end up getting a new mobo, gpu, psu, case and just reusing the rest for now. 8/10 so far. Two points, what GPUs do you have, & why dual channel ram when you can use triple? From what you've listed it's a very nice rig though.
NZXT Hades case ASUS P7H55-m mobo Intel i5 750 quad core cpu @2.67ghz 8GB DDR3 1333mhz Corsair RAM 60GB Corsair SSD + 500GB Western Digital 7200RPM HDD ATI Radeon HD 4670 (Nothing special, don't need to run high end games, runs WoW on ultra with ease to put into perspective) What more do you wanna know Custom built ofc.
It wasn't intended for high end gaming, only lower end games such as WoW, LoL, MW2 etc. Neither of which require a beasty graphics card to run Besides, if I wanted to upgrade my graphics card I quite easily could, I just don't fancy spending any money atm and I don't play any high end games. If I did, my build would be complete
NZXT Phantom (white, side panel mod) Intel i5 2500k @ 4.2GHz Corsair H60 Liquid CPU Cooler 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 RAM ASRock EXTREME4 GEN3 mobo GeForce GTX 480 @ 800/1600 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s Lite-On (I believe, cbf checking) CD/DVD burner Razer DeathAdder mouse Razer Goliathus extended mouse pad Logitech MK320 I've got so many upgrades I wanna do, but I need to get a job first -_- such as: 120GB SSD A better keyboard, undecided for now 4x1TB in RAID0 for recording 1080p gameplay Turtle Beach x11 Headset (cheap, will get the job done) 1000w-1200w PSU (undecided for now) Either a second GTX 480 or one of the next gen cards Ivy Bridge CPU whenever they get around to releasing them Custom watercooling loop for my CPU, and two GPUs including full cover blocks/backplates for the 480s or whatever I go with Yeah... looking at a couple grand in upgrades probably. Definitely need a job XD
I think he bought the RAM with the whole setup, it's a prebuilt model with generic brand RAM Kudos for i7, but the rest is average not counting the hard drive.. imo that's just unnecessary to bunch so much shit into one space. You'd be fucked if you ended up filling that thing up and it fouls... you'd lose everything. Upgrade your RAM (those are easy to install), and make sure you have good ventilation. This will server you well I'd think, but watch out as far as overheating.
ram came with the computer Giverny, but from my memory 8gig ram is like $80ish depending where you are. 4670 still does a fair effort at playing games though. Ivy, 9/10. When it gets an SSD I'll up that to a 10. ;D Laptop, dunno what'd rate that. Pretty much Mohtasa. I have nothing of importance on my harddrive anyway so it wouldn't bother me. I know how to install ram, but for now my computer does what I need it too, play cod, killing floor, and surf the web.
