KLeonidas - Impersonator

Hi guys, I was recently contacted by kLeonidas via PM in regards to my World of Warcraft account

He asked me to log on MSN, I added him this morning and he contacted me around 8:00pm EST. I spoke to him and was initially put off by his questionnaire (pictured) but I proceeded onward because I wasn't in any danger doing so.

We spoke and he linked me the following thread located at MMObay as proof of his trustability. I looked through the thread and found that the person there was legitimate but then I noticed that his email wasn't the same as the one referenced on the MMObay website. He came up with this interesting ruse -

"[email protected] is my msn and email acc for contacting people only.
[email protected] is my trust who verified paypal acc and verified paypal acc."

Given that I know how easy it is to impersonate an email address I insisted that he contact me on MMObay and proceeded to create an account, he had a hissy fit and logged off. Obvious imposter, obvious scammer.

Anyway, here is our MSN conversation from start to finish.




Do with it what you will, it seems to me to be a cut and dry case of an imposter trying to scam people using the good name of someone else. I didn't lose anything obviously but someone could very easily fall for his trap and lose a whole lot.

I should also note that his dealings are entirely through private message which is rather suspicious.
