Sugar is very addicting. Luckily for me I actually have a sugar level few points than normal and pretty much "the healthiest my derma has ever seen" (her words) so all my sugar cravings are safe for me. Since I do workout though it kind of gets in the way since sugar basically fucks me over during exercise and weightlifting. Have like this huge block going on here.

I don't think I can break the sugar cycle. That craving is really hard to let it just slip away. One way I find out was to use Stevia as an alternative, for example Zevia soft drinks with not sugar yet its natural and uses Stevia sweetener which has the same taste.

Weed & nicotine atm. I mean im not physically addicted to weed, but ive smoked it for 5 years everyday now and I feel like shit when I don't have it. It's not that i need it, it's just i'd rather have it. I'll never give it up either, atleast I admit it. Theres nothing wrong with weed though, nicotines another story...

Used to be addicted to benzos, wound up in trouble with the law doing shit I hardly remember doing. Don't fuck with benzos.

    Addictions/Withdrawl?

I have a long and colourful history of substance abuse that started when I was about 12 years old, smoking weed and drinking alcohol. I am now 20 years old and have been a heroin addict for almost a year and a half. I have been "relatively clean" now for the last 2 months, taking methadone everyday to keep me from using opiates/avoiding withdrawals, and I am trying very hard to stay sober and find a new path in my life. I wish I could say I have been completely sober, but I will admit that the craving have got the best of me more than once and I have been chipping a bit.

Let me tell you - Withdrawal from heroin is one of the most unbearable and uncomfortable physical experiences that a person can go through. It always starts out mild, with discomfort in your limbs, chills, sweats, peeing alot, anxiety, and gradually builds over the next few days until you are a total mess and violently aching, puking and on the toilet every hour with diarrhea. This alone is motivation in itself to try and get off the shit... And these symptoms go for all opiates.

I also have experience going through alcohol withdrawal. In my case, this was quite a bit less severe in nature, but for a hardcore alcoholic this can be just as uncomfortable as opiate withdrawal, and 10x more dangerous for your body. People die withdrawing from alcohol all the time.

Thanks man :) It is a daily struggle for me. But I have had a few close calls and seen so many bad things happen to myself and those around me that I know if I keep using I won't have much more time left. I am doing 100x better these days though and have an amazing foundation of support from some great people in my life. You would be surprised to see the kinds of people that step up to the plate and reach out to you when you finally ask for help. I also find that talking about it openly and honestly helps me to accept what I am and move forward in my life and so I make sure my groups are my #1 priorities every week. Thanks for listening!

    Addictions/Withdrawl?

You would be amazed at the kind of things you find you are willing to do when you need drugs to survive day to day. I sold drugs and held down a job for a long time until I eventually lost my business and got fired from my job aswell. After that I was pretty much initiated into a life of theft and crime with my other junky friends. Although I have totally ruined my life and it is going to take years to fix some of the damage I have done to my life, I learned some pretty crazy schemes and scams in order to make cash. I wish all that creativity and ingenuity had gone into positive, legal ideas that made me legitimate cash.

Although I am clean now, I pretty much have to hide out in my parent's basement and play RS all day in order to avoid all the drug dealers, banks, debt collectors, friends I owe money to and/or robbed, and everybody else in the world who is pretty pissed off with me, including my favourite stores and shops that I can no longer go into without the fear of being identified. I can no longer own a bank account, and I probably won't have my first credit card until I am atleast 30 years old. It is really only a matter of time before my lifestyle catches up to me and I am smacked in the face with the consequences of all my actions in the past.

    Addictions/Withdrawl?

The worst withdrawal I had was from bad E I got. It was a terrible batch in the first place, and it was dopey as shit considering it was pressed with heroin. I hate those downer ones too because it completely ruins the hole roll. I had to keep my self pumped up so I went to a dubstep concert then to two clubs right after that. And considering my E tolerance I had to take mad rolls too, not just one, but like 5 at a time. For the next 2 weeks after that night, I went through serious heroin withdrawal, and I mean shit like getting sick and weak to the feeling as if I'm still fucking up. It wasn't a really bad withdrawal the first few days still felt like I was still rolling but then it kind went down hill from there.

    Addictions/Withdrawl?

I am bored and just read this post so i would like to share my drug experience/ dependency. First of all i have a serious undiagnosed medical problem with nausea and my gag reflex(probably due to my family and myself all have sever acid reflux problems that typically causes cancer in the throat)

I mention this so i can mention my pot abuse. I have abused pot for 5 years maybe even 6(my memory has suffered but not just because of pot). Because of this i go through depression and have a severe lack of motivation without pot. It stems from the constant feeling of nausea and inability to eat normally or even brush my teeth. So i do say that pot isn't physically addictive, but it can be mentally disturbing when faced with certain elements like my illness or someone who uses it to fight depression or enhance ones life style.

Onto my harder drug abuse. for about 3-4 years i have experimented with harder drugs. i frequently mix uppers and downers and have gone weeks too months of constant opiate(tabs, percs, roxy 30mg,herion(my favourite)), cocaine, and alchohol abuse. I have never suffered a withdraw due to my cocaine and opiate abuse but that is probably because i am a lot more aware of the potential to become addicted and monitor it more.
Unfortunatly i cannot say the same about alchohol, I have drank everyday for years unlike my opiate and cocaine abuse(with a cocktail of other drugs just not as frequent as these two) and have developed a small withdraw from booze. I experience crankyness, anxiety, constipation, and my natural symptoms of nausea and gag reflex are severely increased.

I have plenty of friend who have become hardcore addicts to opiates and they match a lot of the posters on this thread who have talked about their opiate or drug addiction. Personally i believe a large part of it is mind over matter. If you are unhappy or depressed you only triple your likely hood to become addicted, unlike a happy go lucky user who abuses a substance to experiment or just get high.

also i have experienced a lack in satisfaction when i do any drug now due to me shooting up. The intensity of it is superior to any other way to consume a drug especially if you are into the rush it brings. But this is a mental thing and i am aware of it.

Anyone interested in having conversations about addiction i am very interested just pm me. I have very strong ideas on the matter and like to discuss substance abuse especially since i want to become a pharmacist.

    Addictions/Withdrawl?

This may seem out of a place, but since you guys know what you're talking about...

I bought a percocet off my friend. He says its 30 mg (which doesn't exist, he's a fucking idiot and tried ripping me off. $7 a pill, yeah right. I gave him $4)

I'm pretty sure its a 5mg oxy percocet. Is this enough to get me high/nodding? I don't have any tolerance to opiates.

You might feel a little something, but 5mg of oxy is not alot. You would probably need a couple more to get a good buzz. Everybodies tolerance is different, and therefore it can be dangerous to reccomend doses for other people.. but I find that for a first-timer, 20mg of oxy is usually a good way to tip your toes into the pool and test the waters. Work your way up from there. Keep in mind that perocets can also be dangerous because the drug contains acetaminophen aswell as oxycodone (quite a large ratio of aceta to oxy) so taking multiple percs in order to reach your desired oxy dose can be dangerous.

With that said - I'm sure you are probably being cautious, especially after creating and reading alot of the responses in this thread, but I feel it is my duty to remind you to be safe. Opiates are very very dangerous, and very addictive. I have had many people die around me from using opiates, and I have come close myself more than once. Although a perc is unlikely to kill you, the high can be very pleasurable and lead you into regular use if you are not careful. Have fun and be safe :)

It could be a 30mg roxycodone. Percocet and roxy both have oxycodone in them, except percocet also has acetaminophen. Where I live, roxy 30's go for $20-25 each. Percocet 5mg go for $2-3 each and you probably won't feel much from taking just one. A good starting dosage of oxycodone is 10-20mg. You can look up pills using this link.

Thanks for the advice. I'm aware of the acetaminophen in percocets. My friend's first time taking opiates were these same pills and he took ~5 of them his first time and he said it was crazy...so I REALLY doubt he took 5 30mg PERCOCETS lol.

I popped one oxy before..I had no idea of the dosage but I don't remember feeling much (smoked a blunt with some friends like 20 minutes prior).

I'm more sure that it's a percocet that isn't 30mg more than a roxy that is 30mg, as my friend has been saying he's getting percs since forever (for getting a wisdom tooth/teeth removed). Thanks for the advice.

I REALLY wish it was something BESIDES a percocet so I could snort it lol..

Never pop oxy or roxy, only tabs and percs. It's a waste. It's also a lot better to smoke after you take anything.

Yeah if they were for getting his wisdom teeth out, then they're either 5mg or 7.5mg percs. You didn't really get that ripped off, but I still wouldn't pay more than $3 for a 5mg.

Herman, you might have popped and low amount of OxyContin orally and therefore didn't really feel much as it was gradually released into your system. Where I live I can get Oxy 10's, 20's, 40's and 80's, and everything below the 80 has a time release capsule surrounding the outside of the pill. This capsule is a safeguard put in place so you can pop the pill orally, and the drug is gradually introduced into your system rather than all at once. This works for managing pain but if you are looking to get high with oxy's, the best way to go is to scrape the time release capsule off and crush it up and snort it. This way it is absorbed into your system very rapidly and you experience a very strong buzz.

Ok well I looked at the pill bottle and it said oxycodone, but I'm pretty sure they are 5mg percs. They're pills with 512 on the side. I bought another two from my friend today for $2 lol.

Well it was 2$ a pop considering I spent 4$ for the first one

And to think it was previously 7$ each. Pfft.

Do you think 15mg of oxy is enough :S? Should I buy more from him? I'm worried about the paracetamol dosage, enough I know not to exceed 2000mg of it daily.

Yeah you will definitely feel 15mg. I do opiates daily and I actually have perc 10's and 7.5's at the moment. I usually take 10-15mg at a time. I try to make them last as much as I can since I'm pretty poor at the moment, so I don't get extremely smacked or anything, but it does the job. I often take 100mg of tramad0l (ultram) an hour before I take any opiate which makes it a lot stronger and makes it last 3-4 times as long. If you can get your hands on some, they are well worth it. They are $2-3 for 50mg. The acetaminophen daily limit is actually 4000mg. The percs you have are 325mg of acetaminophen, so you would need to take more than 10 for it to be an issue.

Also if you don't know already, make sure you smoke some weed after they have kicked in. It will really take the edge off and get rid of any negative effects from opiates. It just makes it a lot better. Also if you have any benedryl, take a couple an hour before you take the percs. It increases the effects. Also if you get itchy, benedryl will also get rid of it :)
