RSBuddy setting "Use less CPU" question. Am I crazy?

For the longest time, like the last 3 weeks/month since I got back to playing Runescape, I've been botting using RSBuddy on my new laptop. While botting, I noticed if I ran more than 2 bots at once my CPU got maxed out, so I only ever ran one single bot 24/7.

At one point in time I had tried the "Use less CPU" setting, but it looked to me like the account then started lagging.

SO, here's my question, is the "Use less CPU" setting supposed to be THIS GOOD? I just tried it again tonight, and rather than having 80% of my CPU used up while running just TWO bots, I am currently running FOUR and I'm apparently only using 35% of my CPU.

THIRTY FIVE PERCENT with FOUR BOTS on a LAPTOP, when before it was around eighty percent with TWO bots.

Is this normal?

That's why there's an option to use less cpu.

Does it make the bots lag?

 

No it doesnt make the bots lag. It takes away part of the graphics so its less on the CPU. It is there to allow you to run more bots. So use it.

 

Today RSBuddy client got a new update increasing the effect of the use less CPU, but for some reason it makes also lag it a bit. It isnt supposed to lag, i think in the near future in a new update it will get fixed.

So use "use less CPU" it is great.

 

It's because the bot doesn't have to show the graphics alot, I think that is why it uses less CPU! But yup it's normal!

 

It's got to do with graphics I believe. It's running normal, but the graphics you see are less? Something like that lol

 

It's not lagging.. it's doing what it suppose to, use less CPU. It's lowering the fps and graphics I believe.

 

No it doesn't cause "lag" what is does is temporarily disables sight of some objects in game, which in turn will improve your proformance.
The reasoning for this is, the more things that are happening in game while botting, the more cpu your going to use. Enabling less-cpu helps a lot and you won't lose any proformance to the bot itself.

 

The recent 4.19 update this morning makes it use a slower framerate, giving it the appearance of lagging. I don't know if it reduces performance as of yet.

 

Yes it helps that much, and the reason it's so much better than it was is because one of the last updates rsbuddy did helped the compression of the bot thus lowering the cpu usage significantly.

 

It does. Botting troll invasion when using less CPU have me an immense lag, and only 55K xp / hour. After disabling the less CPU option the xp rates rose to 75K / hour.

 

On most bots when you turn that on it appears to lag but you still get the same xp/money per hour

 

It does the same thing, some things dissapear and they seem to be lagging, but if youde turn off "use less cpu" thede be running normal speed. Its just because its using less cup thats what it looks like. But use it so you can run more botts.

 

Yes, it's like this. It lags for you but, in the game, it moves the same speed. It uses less memory, storage, etc on your computer but, still completes the task. Just minimize it and it'll work fine.

 

Using less CPU in general isn't making your CPU take out things from the game, it's limiting how much CPU is being used for that process. CPUs play a huge part in frame rates, and limiting the CPU will also make frame rate drop, the less images your PC has to process, the less memory your PC uses, and less CPU is being used (hence the term less CPU.) See even if you didn't use less CPU, you can't just minimize the process thinking that since it won't have to process the images because its minimized, it won't use as much CPU, that's wrong considering that data is still being sent, and the data still exists in your memory even if you can't see it.

There has recently been an update that lets you decide if you want it to JUST display/not-display the fps.

 

The use less CPU option seems too good to be true, but it really is THAT good - just saying. I use it to run bots overnight and it means my CPU temp stays very steady.
