powers from the Spam Forum OR making it so ONLY Off-Topic mods can rule the Spam Forum. Not Global Mods and all the others mods.

*Note* - I'M NOT ARGUING ABOUT MY SF BAN. THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION FOR A RULE CHANGE IN THE SPAM FORUM WHETHER I CAN ACCESS IT OR NOT.

I got banned from the Spam Forum permanently apparently for trolling too much....really? Staff members lock threads left to right in the Spam Forum and it's not even necessary. It's the Spam Forum, for crying out loud...you should be expecting spam...not locking them + infracting people.

I'm temp banned until 2038 or some shit, and as for my SF Ban, read the note I just edited into the OP.

 

2038 is the same as a permanent ban.

And yes, you are complaining about your SF ban. Look at the last line in the quote above.

 

No, I'm posting about my SF Ban as an example of how strict the current rules are. For all I care, I can be perm banned from the Spam Forum (even though I basically am). I'll just keep making disputes until a mod who can actually see the problem makes a change.

 

My stance to the spam forum has always been "If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen!". It shouldn't be a place where people take offense, and if you do, you shouldn't be there.

 

I totally agree with Gohan's Quote you posted, but if you flamed, a ban is in the right place.
But they should reduce it to a temporarily one.

Yes, but....Spam Forum is the ONLY place where flaming can be tolerated at a higher level than other places on the forum...I think we should have one god damn place dedicated to the members to chill the fuck out and talk to each other without having a posse full of staffs on our dicks killing the mood.

 

The point was they were obviously taking offense and decided to ban you, I firmly believe they shouldn't have taken any offense unless they were personally trolled.

As for "limiting staff powers" they only people with permissions in Spam Forum are Off-Topic moderators and Global moderators, there's no real reason to remove their perms because you're mad that you're banned.

They should NOT take offense when the topic is not even about them. That just shows they're an attention whore and want to be involved somehow.

As for the limiting powers part, I believe Off-Topic mods should be the ONLY ones able to infract and shit in there...

I don't understand why Global Mods come into the second and fucking ban and PMS over shit thats not even in their category.

It's like Obama walking into China and throwing people in jail...he' not even the president of China.

 

From my understandings, Global can monitor all of what other staff members monitor except Admins'. It's their job but I do agree on Gohan's point (which is yours as well).

From what I read above it just sounds like your mad about your spam forum ban. Also a global monitors all of sythe not just sections.

 

Yeah, but, they just walk into the Spam Forum like they own it....its not even in their section. Even if they have the power to do so...can we remove it?

Global's are starting to have their heads too far up their ass and infracting people for no reason.

Karl infracted me twice and I got both of them removed within 30 seconds of speaking to him cause he didn't even look at the thread clearly to see my responses were valid.

I still have more infractions to appeal due to Global Mods being careless.

FireZ locks every thread I make so, no. It doesn't bother me. Some mods are more immature than others and I understand that. I already got over the fact that he dislikes me and likes to abuse his powers on me cause he thinks it's fun.

This isn't about me. It's about the community in general. Mods are strict everywhere, it wouldn't hurt to have one category where we can chillax without being pestered all the time.

 

It is actually one of their many sections to monitor. I do agree with what you are saying but to be honest, your attitude really doesn't help the case, actually worsens it.

I think that people should just enjoy the community and know that posting on sythe is a priviledge and not a right, i think all staff members should retain their rights to lock threads that in their eyes seem to be getting out of hand or could pose trouble.

I also think Thug_Life should get a perma ban from the Spam Forum Section, and that he is waaaay addicted to sythe. He spammed 700 posts in 2 months, and got physco when he was banned even though he was so new to the site.

Gotta lot to learn.

3) You were banned from the site and you came into the IRC spamming the ENTIRE IRC trying to tell a mod that "i was framed i didn't do it!!!"
4) After I see you spamming, I PROVED TO FIREZ and another mod that you were indeed framed and it was an unfair ban. Because of me, you got unbanned.

Your suggestion is quite flawed.

Firstly, you state that it's merely the Spam section, therefore any post is allowed.

Yet you stated yourself, you are permanently banned from the Spam section for trolling too much.

With that statement, you are very correct yet it contradicts your first statement as 'trolling' is against the rules.

Secondly, you are suggesting the restriction of some staff powers, such as Global moderators not being able to access/monitor the Spam section?

That is the most ridiculous thing.

Seemingly so a Global moderator banned you does not constitute the fact that Global moderators should be denied their 'rights' as a Global moderator to monitor the entire forum.

Therefore that suggestion will never take place.

Another note:

Please do not deny that you did not purposely flame a particular member(s) of Sythe.org.

Your ban from the Spam section is enforced and this suggestion will not change the fact otherwise.

You post a 'note' stating that this has nothing to do with your ban, yet you use your ban as an example through your suggestion.

As a final note, no I do not support this at all as you have not made yourself clear about anything.
