    how many bots should i expect to run at once with an alienware m17x that has:
    intel 2nd gen core I7 with 2.2 ghz of processing power.
    with each of the following :
    4GB of ram
    8gb RAM
    16gb of ram
    at once WITH a cooling pad.

    I am running an i7 @ 2.2 ghz in a laptop with 8GB of memory.

    It can run about 25 GOP bots at one time, and the processor maxes out at about the same time as the 8gb of memory.

    So 20-25 bots depending on how much power the script needs with that processor.

    Your best bet is to get external cooling also as the i7 processor performs much better when it is cooler as it automatically overclocks itself from 2.2 up to the max speed it can handle and still not overheat.

    This is true.

    Also, if you're planning on mass-botting a desktop would be far preferable.

    Anyway, that computer should be able to handle roughly the following number of bots:
    4 gb ram -> 8 bots
    8 gb ram -> 16 bots
    16 gb ram -> ~25 bots (your processor should bottleneck before this)

    With 4 GB of Ram, I suppose around 10-12 bots before starting to lag.

    GPU has nothing to do with botting. I didn't even bother putting a GPU in the botting computer I built and it's making me over 100m/day.

    you do know GPU= graphics processing unit? without it your CPU has to process it.

    GPU is only useful if you have a lot of grapically intense stuff to process. Runescape != graphically intense, which is why you purely need CPU for rs botting.

    Hmrmrmrmmrmrmm you could easily run 20+ bots. But so you dont ruin your computer run like 20 to be on the safe side.

    Alienware is only for high definition gaming. It's not worth purchasing for runescape...there are plenty of computers which are the same specs, but alot cheaper.
