    Need help badly...

I'm 17 years old and I'm addicted to weed, my parents know that I smoke every day, and it's true. When I started smoking it felt good, but now I'm losing all my friends and money due weed, what can I do? =/ I don't want to go hostipal or something because they will tell police about it and then they will make a home search for me... Yes I got plantations of marijuana.. I got 12 plants of weed.

Give me tips and tricks that how can I stop using that rubbish?

    Thanks

    - Rasta.

Marijuana isn't chemically addictive, so it's all in your head. Try finding an activity that isn't harmful to substitute for it. Every time you feel like smoking weed, go for a jog or a run on the treadmill instead.

Like Joker said, marijuana isn't chemically addictive so you won't have any major withdrawal symptoms in attempting to quit. The biggest challenge by far is going to be changing your lifestyle, and learning to live without the need to smoke weed every single day. Going to a hospital is not necessary, neither is telling your parents (unless you feel the need to do so).

I would reccomend looking in the phone book and look for a local drug treatment center or a mental health & addictions clinic, or go see your family doctor or go to a walk-in clinic. These people can help you find a support group or meeting to go to which will help you alot in your struggle to quit using the drug. These programs are also annonymous and they respect your privacy and so your parents, the police etc. will not find out if you don't want them to.

I hope you can find sobriety in your life and I wish you luck :) Any other questions you can send me a PM.

Marijuana has nothing in it that's physically addicting, therefore unlike meth, you won't have to deal with withdrawals. The first step, in my opinion, would be to get rid of the marijuana plants. After you get rid of those, set a day to smoke for the last time. You have to try to do other things outside and away from the whole "sitting" thing because when you sit, you think, and when you think, you'd start thinking about it. Try skating. This is how I quit weed and I've been clean since June. It may only be 3 months but clean for 3 months is a lot compared to a dime a day.

THC is a non-addictive substance, and the only 'addiction' that is forming is in your head. Unless it's laced with something, you CANNOT be addicted to marijuana.

I'm sure you're just like most people who can't pass-up the urge of peer pressure, correct?

You either do or you don't want to completely destroy your weed addiction. If you do you have to get rid of your plantations its as simple as that...

Pick up a different hobby. Or possibly just cut way down on the smoking, and work your way down gradually. It's hard to just stop spontaneously.

There are two kinds of addiction: physical and psychological. Those who say you can't be addicted to weed, you're idiots. There was a case of a kid who became addicted to swallowing pebbles because he had stomach pains. Even though the pains went away, he just kept swallowing pebbles. Why? Because they gave him psychological comfort. It's the same principle with sex addiction, and so on. If something makes you feel good, or something gives you comfort, you want to keep doing it.

A physical addiction is unlikely, so there's little issue there. My recommendation would be to see a counselor or psychologist. By law they are required to keep what you tell them confidential, as it is a part of their profession. If anyone can help you sort your psychological addiction out, they can. You'll most definitely receive better results from a psychologist than a bunch of internet randoms.

Find something else that makes you feel good. Replace that attachment between weed and feeling good.

When i first started smoking i felt the same way. i got busted. i smoked for a while after that. i then realized... there is better ways to feel good.

What worked for me was to find something, or someone in my case, that give you that happy feeling and you wont "need" to smoke pot.
