They dont overheat, its just that the case is made of aluminum, and that causing the case to the touch feel hot.

It runs quite fine as far as heat goes.
No problems really there, and doesn't affect the computer a bit.

And its the quietest, it could be.
As if there was nothing running

 

Alienware used to be nice. I own a Pre-Dell alienware, and it was built well. Never had cooling issues. Never had issues w/ their tech support. Never had hardware issues. Nothing. Post-Dell, however...... You're better off selling your own dick than buying one of those.

 

My boyfriend had a Alienware laptop, paid 1500 for it, and it broke in 4 months.

 

Okay, only good things from alienware would be the m11x IMO.
Everything else is overpriced crap that wannabe gamers get there parents to pay for.

Just some advice on getting apple products.
To fully take advantage its best to buy mac's during
the summer with a student discount.
(you dont have to be a student just pick a random
college/university near you.)
When buying a mac, I was able to also get a
itouch, for free.

Got caught up on my hw finally -_- here's pics of the new desk arrangement:



I was getting pretty bad temps at 4.2 on my i5 2500k (70c on the hottest core) so I took down the H60, replaced the crap stock TIM and put the second fan on and now my temps are 58c on the hottest core during prime95 blend test. Massive difference, I'm thinking I had the actual waterblock mounted wrong or something previously on top of crack stock TIM + only one fan on the rad. Either way I'm happy now

 

do u prefer ur psu fans facing up ? why ?

 

I'd be put to shame if I even dreamt of putting my system up here.

 

I wanted to have it flipped, but for some reason the mounting holes don't line up when it's flipped. It's a shitty PSU, probably some nonstandard shit. Either way though it's an intake and the air where it's pulling shouldn't be that hot considering the GPU fan exhausts out the back. I don't see how it could be a problem.

 

yeah i guess it should be ok, mines an intake too i just flip it down cuz i dont like it sucking in hot air from my parts lol. ill throw pics up on monday or tuesday, im waiting for my gpu and network card to arrive from newegg :love:

My ambient temps shouldn't be that bad, all my fans are exhausting except for the psu fan. But yeah I'd prefer if I could flip it though seriously, if anything just for the fact that I constantly drop screws in the fan grill and wind up having to spend like 5 minutes getting it out. HUGE annoyance, happened like 3 times during the initial build.
