Teenagers rob 7 cents

I agree with the judge, you may say it was only 7 cents, but thats all the man had on him, if he would have had more, they would have taken it, and they assaulted him.


Got what he deserved imho. Just another life long felon in training.

 

I agree...theft is theft. Poor guy who got punched.

 

For 7 damn cents. Hope they know better now. Why they had to hit him at least. Those bb guns got them into bigger trouble than they thought. Most definitely less punishment without those guns on them.

 

Regardless of the amount, robbery is robbery. Was charged appropriately.

They had the intent on taking everything he had. So if it doesn't matter if it was 7 cents or 7 grand.

My opinion is 4 years is rather harsh...

The detention center will most likely put him in with a 'bad crowd' and he'll come out worse than he already is. Which I believe is the case for quite a few young offenders.

If stealing is stealing, regardless of the circumstances of the person committing the crime, then robbing a grocery store to feed children would be equally punishable, as somebody robbing a bank to buy a multi million dollar house in miami.
I think that is just rather ridiculous.

To be quite frank, I'd give him community service. The community would have a greater benefit, if he was to help it out rather than use tax payers money. I couldn't even begin to imagine the amount of time / money cost for the case so far.

I remember a girl from my friend's school robbed an elderly man for £150, she received something like 200 hours community service. She was 17 I believe, 4 years is just....

 

I think the punishment should fit the crime. I think it would be better if you get caught stealing they chop off a hand. I am not trolling i really feel this way. He will probably come out a hardened criminal and get into gang related crimes.

 

Thats crazy, why the hell would they do that? they should be getting put in prison for way longer than that, fuck the detention center....go to jail you bitch ass kids

I'm glad he got the sentence he got. Who knows? - He could be a criminal in the making at a young age of 15. They beat him up and were planning to rob him of all he had, not to mention they had BB guns..

 

I think he shouldn't gotten that many years, but enough, lol 7 cents must be his bank.

 

He hit a 73 year old man in the face.... I doubt that man put up much resistance to start with.
