Smoking Marijuana

This isn't too deep or anything, I just wanted to know your opinions about it.

The first time I smoked weed was with my friend, his brother, and his brother's friends. It was fun, we were in the top of his barn just playing card games, drinking beer (not getting drunk) and listening to N.W.A (rap). I still had some after that so I lit up in my bathroom the next day, and did it with friends for like 4 days after that.

After that, I smoked, I'd say, every two weeks, except I was an idiot about it and didn't really care who knew, so my sister, who goes to my school, found out. I live in an EXTREMELY religious family and she's also very religious, so she wanted me to stop right then, mostly because it was illegal, I wasn't getting as grades as well as I normally did, all that. She had asked me before if I did too, which I said I didn't, and she was angry that I lied to her. So I quit right there, and I haven't smoked since then.

Two weeks ago, my parents got a letter in the mail from the also very religious parents of this kid in Grade 6 I know. They told them I smoked weed (they knew because I posted an argument for Marijuana Legalization on Facebook on a group and I wasn't careful enough to check if it was private or anything, so he found out and told his parents), and they got super angry, my mom started crying because she found out I was "on drugs," my dad said he wanted to run my drug dealer over with a car (I just got weed from my friends, I don't have a drug dealer), they went on about how it was illegal, was ruining my reputation, was bad for my health (I cleared up a lot about that), etc. but, I'd been clean for a while! I told them that and they were happy about it and my mom gave me my cash back that she took because she thought I was buying "drugs" with it. Here's where I am now..

I want to smoke weed again. It's a social thing that I do with my friends, it's not like I'm addicted to a drug. It makes music sound way better, food taste way better, it makes everything way better (even though it did feel nice being clean for the first three weeks). I'm having thoughts about doing cocaine and heroin, even though I definitely never will, I am. My dad really pisses me off, it's like he always finds something to yell at me at, get angry at me for, something sarcastic, anything like that. Yesterday we were playing Yahtzee and I was drummin' the beat to a song I like with my fingers. Later I said we should stop taking the dice, putting them in a cup, shaking the cup and rolling the dice out of the cup and just roll it with out hands because the cup is "annoying." He gave me this stupid look and it a ridiculously sarcastic, bitchy tone he said, "Your tapping is annoying, haha!" And today, when I fake-yelled to get my dog off me, he freaked out at me, told me I stepped on her toes, told me she's just a puppy and I needed to be more careful with her. He shook by the scruff of her neck a week ago and she yelped louder than I've ever heard her since. Anyway I'm getting off topic, I'm always in a shitty mood, I never hang out with anyone, so here's my question;
TL;DR I want to start smoking weed again but I got caught by my sister and my parents

Should I
Start smoking again but don't do it as often until I'm comfortable with not being caught, and be VERY VERY careful until then and always VERY SECRETIVE(only do it on weekends/during school hours, not after, don't be high near my parents, etc.). <- Will make me happier.
Sub-option: do the above in a year, when my sister moves out.

Don't smoke again because I might get caught and sent to bootcamp (50% serious). <- Will stay pissed off all the time.

Sorry if this was a huge wall of text, needed to rant a bit. I'd like some mixed opinions in the comments and I'll try to update you guys if you have questions or anything.

I would start smoking again, it's a natural medicine for everything, tell your religious family that god put it on this earth for people to use, or else it wouldnt be here at all. It should ease the situation. My parents found out, my mom is religous, and they were mad, but they knew that they can't make decisions for me anymore. So they sorta except it.

 

I guess i have been in a similar situation to you seems my family is strict, i don't smoke anymore because i just hate the day after feeling of the clouded mind. Everyone is different but ifi were you i would leave it a year if you MUST smoke then do it secretivly

 

I have been smoking for the past 2 years.
-I play professional Football ( Soccer ) || No problem with conditioning.
-I can make a home made water IV to clean myself if in need for a drug test.
-High>Drunk
-I just do it at a buddys house, or while driving around.


If you ever smoke at a park, I would only suggest that if you know that no cops drive by there. If they happen to park there, just throw the blunt or whatever you have out, and walk away the other direction.

Never, Just something to do, I was gone in Europe pursuing my career. Not addicted at all. Right now its three times a week or so. I still do my daily activities. And go training.

 

I'd say start smoking again but only on weekends, etc. to avoid getting caught again. Plus, you'll never build tolerance smoking only on weekends and always have that good high. I'd try arguing with them that slavery was legal once but that doesn't mean it was right, just like weed being illegal. Try and get some sense into their head.

Btw, how old are you?

 

I'm only 15. That sounds like a good idea though, I'm still probably not going to do it often and for a while, at least maybe not until I can find some buds (pun not intended) to watch Killer Klowns From Outer Space with me.

 

You could just not do it. You don't NEED weed to be happy. I don't, millions of others don't. Find a legal activity that reduces stress and substitute it. There's no need to go back to smoking weed when there are thousands of legal things to do that aren't degrading to your health.

And before all the pot smokers come in here saying it doesn't degrade your health, it does. Just not as drastically as the media makes it out to be. It can, and does, degrade your lungs. Just as any other form of smoking does. And it can degrade mental health in younger people, like you.

 

Ever watch The Union, Its a documentary based on pot growers and every use of hemp. Please do, it will change your perspective hopefully.

I agree there are negatives. But as a semi-professional athlete, It does not affect me negatively at all. In fact. I get more stuff done, I like to read, Go to church even, organize my room =0.

Just do it on weekands with friends or just do it after everyone is asleep? Find ways to conceal the smell and just enjoy smoking keep us updated on what you do bro. Best of luck.

 

Dude i wish i could smoke but im in the military. SO i just drink a lot. ANd smoking is a lot better for ya than drinking.. But id say go for it to be honest.. just dont be gettin caught. My dad is a pastor and I know what its like to grow up in that environment, just be honest about it and be like, hey its a recreational activity no big deal. If you dont treat it like a big deal they might not either??

 

Just go for it man. Honestly, if you don't want people to know, they won't know. It isn't hard to hide, just be moderate about it.

 

To the OP: sorry, I don't really have much of anything useful to offer. Seems like you have a decision to make. Figure out where the most secure place to smoke is and do it. or don't. You know the pros and cons of each decision, nobody else can make it for you. But, I have to respond to this other post...

Legal activities? You mean like cigarettes, alcohol and pharmaceuticals? Not really going to touch that ridiculous argument. As others have said, there is no medical argument. Marijuana can be consumed safely in a variety of ways that does not require any smoking. In all situations where I've ever smoked something less "safe" with other people, everyone knew the safer methods existed, but we chose to not to use them at that time. Legality should not factor into a decision like this as the OP has not mentioned any fear of getting in any legal trouble, only being caught by parents, sent to bootcamp, etc.

Your ignorance has lead to this rambling post because I don't know how to address your silly arguments all that coherently. I sincerely hope you decide to actually understand what you're talking about here. There's lots of information out there on the Internet that will educate you.

 

I'd say to stay off it if you get thoughts of trying out harder drugs like cocaine. People who do hardcore drug always start start with weed and after you take cocaine, trust me, you will be fucked up. It's addictive. Your life will never be the same after you first try Cocaine of any other hardcore drugs.

If you can promise yourself out of Cocaine's or any other hard drugs' way, then go ahead and smoke while safe.

 

Just because everyone that does hardcore drugs started with weed (which I don't even necessarily believe to be fact) it does not mean that everyone that smokes weed transitions into hardcore drugs. I don't know the numbers, but I know there are, for sure, many times the number of marijuana smokers than other 'hardcore' drug users...

 

Weed being a gateway drug is the most ridiculous argument, when weed is on the same status as heroin, as far as law goes, and LSD is tier 1. So its saying you start with a worse drug then work your way down to less harmful.

Anyways OT its your life, don't let your parents live it for you, but don't get too wrapped up in smoking, and let it control. Be yourself don't let others influence you.

 

Doubt it. Cocaine is safe if used moderately. It isn't even physically addictive.

 

The myth that "weed is a gateway drug, and will lead you into hard drugs" argument is purely that, a myth.

I could maybe agree with the fact that weed could be considered a "gateway drug". For alot of people, marijuana is the first drug they try and after liking the high and smoking for a substantial amount of time, they get curious about other drugs and want to try them out. But it is purely ones own choice whether they continue on towards abusing hard drugs. My saying has always been, "Weed can be a gateway drug. It opens the gate for you, but it is your choice whether you'd like to pass through or not".
