Defense or not?

Here are my main's combat stats:



I like to PK and these stats pretty much own for PKing, but I'm interested into getting into PvM, especially corp. Is it worth getting 80/99 defence, or should I just stay at 75?

 

Defence never did anybody harm.. I always used to be a 1 defence kid.. Since I have gotten defence I have enjoyed RS a lot more.. Could be a nice change

 

In his/her case, it would do harm. I think his only main concern is that getting defense would make him lose his advantage in PvP?

 

I would like to see your argument on how it would cause him/her harm.

Other than losing his combat lvl advantage it would grant him access to torva and a lot more items that can give him an even greater advantage.

 

I'd go for 90 defence, it would probably help.

 

I wouldn't take defence up, I'd stay at 75 and make it fully maxed. Then it's maxed dfs pure

I'm 90% sure he can't afford torva, and what new gear would defense higher than 75 get him?

 

No such thing.. You can't just add DFS or Rune in front of the term pure to make it a pure!

Pure is 1 def.. Finale

 

Pure means "without anything excessive". So a "DFS pure" would be an account that has all the stats to use a DFS and nothing excessive (over 75 defense)

 

80 def wouldn't be much of a difference in combat levels, yet a huge difference in gear possibilities.

Yeah it's a matter of opinion.. After a certain point I just consider them pkers. You can look up all the definitions you want buddy.
