i've known about these forums for quite a few years but i've never actually sold/brought anything on here.

i have a level 138 account i am looking to sell for ££ or rsgp on my turmoil acc.

i see that the forums work mostly on vouches + postcount/join date.

however i am looking for a quick trade as im broke in rl and in rs. and i have no postcount/vouch

so if i get a sale i can either go out and buy some shit or bum around playing rs till i start uni in a couple of weeks.

Is it possible for a trusted member to sell the account for me?? or is this what a mm does? (im not too sure)
yeah so if that is possible can a trusted member sell the account and trade me the rsgp to my lower level acc/pay money to me?

 

Although most people perceive this as a factual statement, you shouldn't do the same as the join date, post count and vouches of a user can be highly flawed.

Firstly, just because a new member recently joined, it is portrayed that they are automatically a 'scammer' or 'potential scammer'.

I'm sure everyone had to begin somewhere.

Secondly, the spam on these forums is unbelievable, therefore post count is highly unreliable.

Thirdly, vouches can easily be obtained as I recently discovered (which is one reason why I hesitated in creating my own vouch thread) because any user can simply obtain any possible number of vouches simply through offering a free service(s).

No, it's not possible.

Here's why; if the account is recovered, then the fault falls to the seller of the account, therefore the seller must repay the customer back the cost of the account.

That is not how a MM works either.

A middleman (and Official middleman) are a third party to a trade.

Both the first and the second parties (The buyer and the seller) provide the MM/OMM the details/items (money) which is then exchanged via the MM/OMM.

Please be aware that most MM's are free however OMM's do have a certain fee involved for particular trades.

I doubt, that anyone would buy it from you, as it could get recovered very easily, and as you already know trust formula(vouches by most and some post count/join date) you know that no one views you as trusted. Buying expensive account from untrusted person is too risky, so I doubt anyone would do it. Maybe someone would buy if you let them change recs/password/email and pay only after new recs set.

You could always try creating a topic in the appropriate section and selling it here.

Worth a shot to see if anyone is interested.
