need help on first trade

okay, so im selling for the first time and i would really like to know exactly what i should be doing. I'm selling a partyhat to this guy, who is paying me through western union. He is also using a middleman, but i dont understand how it works. i trade the middleman the partyhat before i receive payment? and then wait for payment and once i cash the payment the middleman will hand over the partyhat? Can someone just clear it up a little for me, also i should be taking screenshots and what not of the trades correct?

 

You give middleman(MM) partyhat, then the buyer sends cash directly to you, and when you confirm to MM, that you received cash, the MM will give partyhat to the buyer. Partyhats are big deal, so you should use very very trusted MM. OMM would be best. I think, there are few OMM that does it for free.

 

As stated by utnubu, use a trusted official middleman. For a trade of this size, it's better to be safe than sorry.

 

It would be safer to sell the hat and trade the gp in incriments - but use an OMM regardless.
