Window Live Messenger HELP! Won't receive friend invitations anymore?

A few days ago I stopped getting friend invitations on MSN I went on my laptop to sign in on MSN yesterday and I had 5 invitations on there, and none on my PC, idk why this just started happening, how could I fix this?
And I don't get notifications when I have MSN on and I'm subscribed to a thread... HELP!

I've ran into this a few times myself, it gets REALLY annoying.. I just reinstalled MSN and it seemed to work fine for me.

 

I am reinstalling now, I hope this works.

I have the same problem. If you use a different chat client, you'll get the invites... along with the glitches that come with a different chat client. You should probably put somewhere: "PM me before you add me!"

 

I have the same problems, I just use live.com to see invites.

There is a problem on Microsofts behalf.

It has something to do with the version of msn that the people you wish to chat with have and the version you have, they're probably not the same.

This compatibility issue has been out for a long time, it sucks.

 

Do you know which one is fully functional?

 

I've heard it works if both parties have the same version..

However if you both add eachother and relogin on msn you should be fine, if that doesn't work you can login on hotmail and add via live contacts or whatever.

I've the same problems too, and when i finally get a invite he is offline and doesn't comes online..
