Need school help!!!!!

last year in school I always listened and got everything I did in all my classes, but starting a new year I feel dumb lol. I dont get anything at all. I take notes and listen all the time but it goes from 1 ear and out the other. I was wondering if you guys have any tips on learning the stuff im doing or just remembering it.

 

Re-read and go over powerpoints, or any lectures that you are given in class. On your homework keep doing practice examples for a good understanding of the material.

 

A big problem I have is remembering what they tell me, when im actually in class I simply don't have the attention span to correctly remember everything they are blurting out at me. I found one thing that helps, if you want to take the time, is to take good notes, and then re-write them again when you get home.

If you don't feel like doing this, try recording each class, and then replaying the important parts at a later date. It helps when your alone and just listening to the voice of the teacher.

 

What usually helps me, is taking notes in class, and then when I get home, I read over the notes, and then rewrite them, and then read 'em again. If that doesn't help, go ask your teacher, maybe you can stay after school on some days for a little extra help. It's nothing to be ashamed of, and if anybody will be the most understanding, it will be your teacher. The other thing is, if you ask your teacher for help, they will see that you are wanting to do good, and they will be more lenient when grading you.

 

Take notes but since you already do that... You don't pay attention.. you're probably thinking of something else besides focusing on what is being taught in class.

 

A tutor or reading the course book might help you.

 

Take notes. Then when you get home *gasp* actually read over them. I know, crazy right?
