ACTUALLY, i do know what i'm talking about, but it is only just my opinion. I'm not mentally retarded, man. He disses Hopsin & B.O.B, and whether i think one is better than the other or not, both hopsin and b.o.b put his silly shit under the water with their diss songs against him, again, in my own opinion.

And if hes rapping from a viewpoint that he isn't, then he is FAKE. I miss the days when rappers actually rapped about something meaningful.

 

So, just because he raps about his interpretation of what he thinks what people would think/say makes him fake? He's got amazing rhymes and does rap about meaningful things. He's not one of those mainstream rappers that puts there music out there for the rich white kids who want to act black.

Frank oceans nolstaliga ultra was good. Tyler is good sometimes, he ruined his own song 'she' by saying swag at the most innapropriate times. Earl is alright. Everything that's yours by Mike G is crazy.

 

Yeah I agree on 'she' but you can barely hear "swag" in that song. (only a couple of times)

I like Tyler's lyrics but I'm not a fan of his voice/beats/music in general.

 

I think they aren't too bad, has a little rhythm and style to his lyrics. His voice is something I actually can stand to listen to and no autotune than those other mainstream artists. Lyrics is what I believe is most important part anyways so it's all good.

Good for him he won, well really I don't even know anyone else nominated except for him xD.

 

I think his voice and beats are the best. Syd Tha Kyd apparently makes most of the beats, and frankly I love them. They have the real old school hard hitting moody shit that reminds me of listenin' to old nyc hiphop from the late 90s. though that's probably just me.

Earls shit when he gets back should be good. All his current stuff is from when he was 15/16. So much potential

Out of them, Tyler's is probably the best. Some people may have said Wiz Khalifa but I think that's a bit mainstream and the lyrics aren't great.

As for the other songs... I've never heard of them, so I can't judge against them.

Hardly. Tyler is the only one who's gotten attention mainstream-wise when Yonkers dropped.

 

I don't like their music at all. It just doesn't sound good to me. Their lyrics are decent I guess, but nothing special. The biggest problem is their beats. I'm actually really surprised so many people like them. They're better than a lot of mainstream rappers out there, but still overrated considering Tyler the Creator won best new rapper of 2011.

 

Wait so Tyler is overrated because he won an award?
