Does anybody remember

When all grimy herbs were just called grimy herbs and it wouldn't tell you what the actual herb was until you cleaned it? People would pay on average like 2k per grimy herb because they didn't know what it was so they would either make alot of money when they cleaned them or lose alot if they were all like guams and other bad herbs.

I just remembered this because i havn't played RS in a while and it made me nostalgic.Me and my friend used to that years ago we killed bandits for like 3k grimy herbs each and sold them so we both could afford full dragon back when that was what the cool kids wore.

 

Yeah I remember this. There was this one kid who tried to trick me into saying that he had a grimy herb that was extremely rare xD. He wanted 6m for it which I believe he was pretty stupid thinking I would believe him.

He also had full dragon on when it was pretty much expensive and $/m was really high (it was when santas were around 8m) but didn't' fall for it. Probably he did trick some other people with this.

 

so easy to beat those kids who tried selling guams for 3k each...just had grimy herbs of like rannar + in invent so you knew what ones were worth it and what ones werent

 

I remember this. Were they called "unidentified herb"? This was rsc/rs2 beta times if i remember correctly..

 

I honestly wasn't even aware they changed -_-

 

I would always see people offering free her ID'ing, and they would take tha players herbs, and just trade them back shitty ones.

 

Nah they changed it in like 06-07 lol.

 

this was a epic way to make money.

you bought all herbs for 1k/each then u cleaned 1 from all the un-identefied herbs and cleaned the ones that were valuable and then resold the other un-identefied herbs. 2-3m/hr. and back then this was ALOT!

I remember that, it used to be like dicing to me. It gave me a rush whenever I cleaned off an herb and it was worth more than 2k. I am kind of glad they changed it though, its more convenient when you know what your getting. Plus cleaning them gives a nice little xp boost when going for 99 herblore.

Unid herbs, good times.

I made quite a bit from that, used to have over rannar or irit in my inventory and ess to fill up the other spaces and used to buy them in world 2 fally east, next to the bank.

 

i used to hate trying to buy herbs back then... so many scammers lol....

 

The good ole days of Unids and chaos druids. Those were the days, I wonder why they decided to change it.

 

One of my old friend back then, would dress up somewhat like a choaos druid so while pple were trying to get herbs he'd kill them ahaha. Wish i played when they were like this, sounds like it was very profitable.
