What do YOU drive?

As a self-proclaimed car fanatic I always find it interesting what other's drive, and how they ended up driving it. Was it all you could afford? Did you need fuel economy? Drive a company car?



My story is a simple one. I didn't get my license until I was 18, and by that point I had had nearly $9000 saved up, and my parents had agreed to pay the rest as long as it was under $35,000. So I had 44k to spend on any vehicle I wanted, and could get insured under my name without too much trouble. So I found what I wanted in Florida (not at all where I'm from) for just over 45 thousand, so through some begging, I got it.


Here she is. Quattroporte Executive GT with a V8, nearly 400 horsepower maxing at almost 7500 rpm. With an electrohydraulic DuoSelect clutch, you can't go wrong.

Nah but i drive a POS 99 cavalier
it runs and gets me from a to b. Plus if im not stateside cause im deployed then i dont have to worry about weather and my car.
I can beat the crap out of it and dont care..

 

Very nice car, lucky that your parents paid for it tho. Haha, I have a 91 civic dx hatch, good shape but as shawn said it gets me from point A to B so that's all I care about. Until I have enough money saved up to buy one that looks and drives like urs.

 

Ahh, I respect your service, really. I have a winter car as well, because it does snow here, but no one's really going to be interested in that.

 

I love it how, when a user gets a cool new car, they need to make a "what do you drive" thread to show it off lol. There must be like 10 similar threads buried in general discussion. One I remember is when a person bought an Austin Martin.


Aaaaanyway, I drive a Ford F-150, 2006. It has 32s mag wheels, 8 in lift kit, and my last name in vinyl letters on the back window. It was only 8000 dollars, basically brand new with only 20,000 miles. Took out a loan and bought it. It has terrible gas mileage, probably 9mpg highway. The fuel injection also has a problem right now, but whatever. I'll put up a picture when I get to a desktop computer.

 

I've had my car for 8 months. Enough said.

 

Um I don't drive anything fancy. Gas is such a waste of money nowadays. I own a Honda Civic 03. It's cobalt blue.

I think cars will be obsolete in a few decades so I cbf spending a shit ton on a new one.

just recently got my first car, turnt 16 in june got my permit late but its a jacked up 2010 toyota tundra... bout a 8" lift will post pics if anyones interested

 

I drive a 2002 Dodge Intrepid, steel blue. I didn't want a car payment and got this at a hell of a deal for $4000, it has 80K~ Miles. I have kids so I needed a bigger sedan type car, and with my job I transport people in wheel chairs often and it has huge trunk space, can fit like 2 wheel chairs in it. Also, even though it is a bigger sedan, it still looks decently sporty and gets 30MPG Highway, was pretty much exactly what I needed. Bought it from a dealership in Troy, MI, they used it as their "running errands" car so it was also superbly maintained by them, I received documentation with the sale of everything that was ever done to it, as little as every oil change.

 

2001 Chevy Blazer ZR2, had to buy it myself, was all I could afford.

 

Can't hate on a well maintained, relaible car for a great price. Hope things go well for you with work and family and all.

 

I drive a 2011 ford mustang super snake... My dad works at ford and is a general manager.. He got me this for little to nothing..

I just got my permit, so I just drive around my dad's transit or my mom's GMC Terrain. When I get my license I want my first car to be an old camaro. Preferably 3rd gen.

 

I'm getting an 04-05 Mazda 3 this week if that counts.
